It works and looks wonderful. Our kitchen is oak cabinets/floor with silver knobs
It works and looks wonderful. Our kitchen is oak cabinets/floor with silver knobs, and all appliances are now black. When the fan came and the box was open 2 things...1)the blades showing were white, ok but I was hoping that the other side was oak too, but to my surprise it was black. NICE! and with the nickel fan it matches the kitchen perfectly! 2) I did not pay attention to the kind or size of the bulb it needed, came with candelabra 40w. of course with the small base. The previous fan had a single halogen with full frosted cover and it didn't give off much light. We thought it would be the same with the bulbs that came with this fan. Much to our surprise it lights up the whole kitchen. Love the fan, will buy it again for other rooms in our house, when the current fan goes caput. I recommend it Oh it looks like pictured including the way its mounted in the picture. My version of flush mount doesn't have that little rod hanging down. but I have to tell you, it does not vibrate or wobble.

Fantastic Bargain!
I purchased two of these fans to go into two bedrooms. The fan has 3 speeds (high, medium and low) with the traditional pull chain. I was surprised at how much air the fan circulates on each speed (especially when on high). The fan comes with an optional light fixture attachment. There will be plenty of light to illuminate a room with the three 60W bulbs that are included. The fan is extremely quiet despite its high air output. If you are placing this fan in a bedroom, I recommend mounting it in the low profile manner to provide more clearance. Mounting it this way will give a clearance of about 13 inches from the ceiling. If you prefer the other option, the ceiling fan has a 17.5 inch drop inclusive of the light fixtures and ceiling mount extender as pictured above. At only $84, this fan is a bargain. I did research for about three weeks before purchasing this particular model. Similar 52 inch fans were going between $110 - $199. You cant get a better fan at this price.

Works well but looks a little cheap
This is a working but not luxurious fan/light. The part that is supposed to be brushed nickel looks very cheap. If you plan to use the silver side of the blades, it won't match the metal at all. The metal looks plastic. The light shades are also not too exciting. I replaced them with some shades that I bought elsewhere and that improves the overall appearance. The fan and lights work well. My only complaint there is that if you have the fan on the slower setting and you're trying to sleep, the motor makes this noise like it is constantly turning on/off. It's a pulsating noise that, when you're trying to sleep right under this fan, seems to drill through your head. You won't even notice if you're not using this fan in the bedroom as I am. Overall, you get what you pay for and this is a perfectly good under -$100 fan/light combo.

Good fan, fairly quiet
I'm happy with this fan, it came fairly well balanced and makes very little noise besides the air current noise. I've had it running almost every night for a year now and there is still very little gear noise. The fan is reversable. The light sockets are candelabra, which really limits what type of bulb can be used. I found it to be fairly dim with 3 60w bulbs. I recommend 6w LED filament bulbs which are more energy efficient and a little brighter. Knocked off 1 star for easily chipped veneer and particularly crumbly particle-board blades.

Pretty decent
It's a pretty nice ceiling fan, one of the easier ones I've installed. But, this is another fan where they went with the candelabra-base bulbs, so I took off 1 star. You can see on the box where they swapped out "standard base" for "candelabra base", because the box is lighter there (almost like a sticker put over the original text, but it's actually printed). The image, here and on the box, show what appear to be standard base bulbs. At the time of this review, Amazon's product description does not include the type of bulb used, just that it's a max 60 watt.

Worked fine a few years, then broke
Original 2011 review: We have had the fan for a few weeks now, and it seems to be working out very nicely. Quiet, good looking and makes nice air flow. We had it installed by a professional, but he seemed to have no problems installing the unit. The point another reviewer made about candelabra style bulbs is well taken. Be prepared to keep special bulbs on hand for the light.***2014 edit***: the switch house on this fan has broken beyond repair, according to our electrician. We need it replaced, and we need to pay for the labor as well as the fan. I will be spending more money this time on a sturdy and reliable unit. I can no longer recommend this one. This might work out okay for a fan that gets only occasional use, and if a buyer can do their own installation. If you rely on a pro, consider the full cost of having to replace it in just a couple of years.

but the 3rd one worked great. Is quiet and looks very nice
Would of gave 5 stars but I had to replace the 1st one, then the 2nd one due to damage and not working, but the 3rd one worked great. Is quiet and looks very nice, looking forward to ordering a couple more, just hoping I don't have to go through the same experience all in all do love it.

Great for price
It looks great in our bedroom but it's not quiet. I was surprised because all reviews I read before say "it's so quiet" I had it professionally put in and it's not quiet. But for $59.00 it's quiet enough!! 😜 It came quick and one light fixture was broken but we just picked put some more out from Home Depot instead of waiting on shipping. Overall I would recommend.

Not a quality product
The light has been installed for 5 months and one of the light sockets no longer works. Two of three bulbs lit is not a good look.I do not recommend this product.
