gotta love capitalism at work
For what this is - a piece of plastic, the price is "highway robbery". It really should be an INCLUDED accessory in the Flagpole Buddy flag set - for which I paid over $150! So now I have to pay an additional $14.95 to put my light on top. Yeah, gotta love capitalism at work. OK - so I the unit slides easily into the top section of the 22' fiberglass "Flagpole Buddy" flagpole. I am using the "Uncommon America Patriotic Light, which is a solar light which swivels with the flag in the wind. It's a bit heavy for this flagpole, but we just had 30-40MPH winds this past weekend and it held up. As the FlagPole Buddy Adapter does not thread in - it just friction-mounts in the end of the top pole, it's a bit loose. To prevent the light from falling off when I take down or change my flags, I drilled a hole through my flagpole and the adapter (together) and put in a cotter pin. I also am thinking about doing that to the upper sections of the Flagpole Buddy 22' pole too, since their "friction" way op keeping the flagpole extended just doesn't cut it in gusty wind situation. I took off one star from my original 5 star rating. But overall, I am happy to have my light and Brass ball on top of my Flagpole Buddy flagpole.

May need to be modified
The adaptor fit into my 22' fiberglass pole perfectly. In the photo it shows the adaptor fully threaded on the inside but this was not the case with the adaptor I received. The threads start about 3/4" down into the hole. I wanted to mount one of the round solar lights so I bought the light and a gold finial also sold on Amazon. The threads on the finial were not long enough to reach the threads in the adaptor once I mounted the light. I solved this by cutting 1/2" off the adaptor with a saw. Minor gripe but it would of been nice to have full threads like the photo.

Must modify the Adapter for the Deneve light
I also bought a Deneve light, as in the other post the adapter won't go thru the hole in the light.I cut the top part off the adapter, installed the other part of the adapter into the hole in the pole, secured it with a flush wood screw, and it works fine.Looks like the threads will fit any standard top for the flag pole. I bought an aluminum Ball Ornament from United States Flag store made by Eder and it works fine. The light is definitely bright enough and much cheaper than the Flagpole Buddy light. Make sure to put the wood screw low enough so the threaded ball will go in far enough.

Yeah!! It works
Not quite 3/4", but it does say approximately. I just wrapped a little black tape around it and tapped it in to my fiberglass collapsible flag pole. Nice and snug, gold flag pole ball screws right in. Now going to order the solor light and I'll be finished ready to camp.

Fit My 22’ Flagpole Buddy Flagpole Fine
So far I am “Very Pleased”, with this Adapter. It fit my 22’ Flagpole Buddy Flagpole, perfectly.I am using the Deneve Deluxe Solar Flagpole Light, with the Deneve Gold Ball Flagpole Topper.I did add a 1/2” SST Flat Washer, above & below the Solar Light, just to provide a little extra stability.

Easy fix but I wish it was perfect from the ...
I had to cut the length down a bit to get it to fit the Light with the top ornament. Easy fix but I wish it was perfect from the start. Didn’t realize I needed this until after I got my solar light. Good fix to my problem. Fit perfect in the hole of my 16’ telescope flag pole. Looking forward to seeing it flying high.
