A knock-off that's better than the original
This holster is knock-off of the original MIC holster. However, unlike most knock-offs I like this brand better than the original. I first ordered the original MIC holster, but was dissatisfied with the lose fit. The MIC holster I had would move up and down due to a loose fit near the trigger guard.I sent the MIC back and ordered this one through Amazon Prime. I figured that if this one didn't fit right then the return would be quick and easy. This holster fits tightly enough to support the weight of my S&W Shield, if suspended from the lanyard. My handgun locks firmly and securely into place by placing the holster below the trigger guard and pushing downward. The MIC holster affixed by placing the holster in front of the trigger guard and pushing backwards.I didn't like this method as much as this Fixxxer brand. Another reviewer was disappointed that their gun could not be holstered by pushing the gun forward into the holster, instead down. I'm not sure why this would be disappointment, since the holster is not clipped to your belt like a traditional holster. The lanyard on the Fixxxer and MIC appeared to be the same material, and very close to the same length. Anyway, those are the major differences between the two brands of otherwise identical holsters.Ease of Use:This trigger guard holster was designed to be anchored on the user's belt. It affixes by simply feeding the holster through the closed loop lanyard, after feeding the lanyard behind your belt. Then you tuck your weapon into your waistband. Even if your weapon came loose and fell from your waistband, the holster would remain in place and secured to your belt. A quick and firm pull on your weapon will release it from the holster.Ideal Uses:I like this holster best for quick trips in the car on errands around town. It's extremely convenient to put on, and adds zero bulk for inside the waistband (IWB) carry. However, I would not want to use this holster while doing any type of physical activity, as it would likely shift, at least a little, in my waistband. It would also be ideal for using with a backpack, in a glove box, or even in the dry well in a kayak. For a more long-term IWB holster that's comfortable, secure, and won't shift, I would recommend the Stealthgear ONYX for $99.. However this holster definitely fills a niche that needed filling. It's also made in Fort Wayne, Indiana USA and for the price, how can you go wrong?

Decent triger guard holster , but could stand a couple tweaks...
First off, let me state that this trigger guard holster is made in China, kind of surprised me out of the box (well, Ziploc bag, really ;) ) I was expecting a US made product, as it's a simple sheet of folded Kydex with a rivet hole and a short bit of paracord....my first impression was the kydex is extremely thin and feels flimsy when not on the pistol, I was expecting an extremely loose fit...I was wrong, once on the Shield (Shield 2.0 9mm) it was extremely tight fit, I could even support the weight of the gun with a fully loaded 8 round mag , it took a good solid downward yank on the lanyard to remove it, it's not coming off accidentally, and securely covers the triggerI can feel much safer deep pocket carrying the Shield 9 (my jeans pockets are made in Galifrey as they are clearly Bigger on the Inside), it's actually more useful than my Vedder Pocket Locker, which covers 90% of the shield but adds unwanted width to the gun, making pocket carry more cumbersome, it's also slower to remove...With this holster, you just loop the paracord around a belt or belt loop, and with a forward draw, making sure the cord is puling the holster down, the cord will pull the holster off the trigger guardThe only improvements I could see are;1; identify port of manufacture on the website, I have no complaints about the quality, and it is a good product it'd just be nice to know where it's coming from, as most Kydex holsters are made in the USA2; perhaps a little longer paracord lanyard would be nice, as i'm going to have to make a new lanyard for true deep pocket carryoverall, a nice little holster, just a little more paracord and a statement of port of manufacture would be nice, otherwise, it's a good product, holds solidly, and adds almost no weight to the pistol

Awesome Trigger Guard Holster!
Absolutely awesome. I love how nice and tight it fits on the trigger guard. I love how light it is and how much more compact it makes my gun. Previously i used a regular kydex holster for my shield and the clip was simply so thick that it made it a bit noticeable whenever i wore dress pants. This little guy makes it completely invisible no matter what pants or shorts I'm wearing. I've already fallen in love with it and will make it my daily carry. I even tested it by dropping my gun from my waist and it has enough retention to not slip out and fall to the ground. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I feel that its slightly too tight and will rip through my dress pants' loop within and make it to where I have to manually remove the guard. That being said, I still find it to be one of the best holsters I've bought for concealed carry and at an amazing price.

Great option for S&W Shield IWB carry!!!
Great holster for the S&W Shield. I rarely write reviews, but feel the need to about this holster/trigger guard. I have been looking for a comfortable, minimal holster for carry for some time. I have several others, but this setup allows for carry with every thing from jackets and pullovers, to just a tee shirt with little or no printing. Also with the trigger guard covered, it makes carrying IWB much safer with a chambered round and safety off. Retention is strong, but comes off in a snap with some practice draws. One thing to be careful of is that if you hip carry IWB make sure you do not scratch you pistol on the small pocket rivets on blue jeans. Also I always wear at least a light summer weight tee shirt when using, otherwise the pistol is in direct contact with your skin. This is just a comfort issue for me. Great product and made right here in the US, in Ft Wayne Indiana. Will buy for other concealed carry pistols I own or purchase in the future. Solid concept for concealed carry.
