Good value for a beginner.
This rod and reel combo came ready to use. The line was already on the reel. The only assembly needed was to put the 4 pieces of rod together and string the line from the reel to the end of the rod. This rod combo casts smoothly and accurately. The reel feels solid and the drag is smooth.

This has been a very good rod and reel especially to learn on. I do recommend this for those interested in trying fly fishing

One of the rods had a small crack when I got it n it totally cracked right away
