This mount has worked perfectly for me, and such a deal!
First of all it was a perfect fit for my '85 Honda XR250R. Your bikes fender shape will depend on the fit. Secondly, after making sure that the lock washers are fully compressed, and using blue Loctite it shows absolutely no indication of loosening, like many reviewers have noted. I have caught it on brush a few times, and there is just enough friction in the pivot area after tightening per above that it can still rotate up after impact, and rotating it back down has yet to be a problem or caused the pivot point to loosen. As a result of the reviews indicating that they lost their plate because this thing fell apart I attached a small wire to the plate and secured to a side frame member, but that has yet to come into play. Can't be beat for the price either!

Do NOT Put This on a Motorcycle
I should have known better, but you get what you pay for. The material is very cheap. I had to extend the pre-dilled holes to fit with my motorcycle, which was not a big deal. But after have it holding my plate on for two rides, the pin holding the two parts together (the joint which allows it to swing) vibrated loose and my plate detached from my motorcycle. The only thing keeping it attached were the wires for the illuminated LED bolts I use to secure the plate to this bracket. All in all, do NOT put this on a motorcycle. It might work for your child's bicycle vanity plate, but will not work for a motorcycle.

Cheesy plastic but works
Kinda cheap plastic housing but did the job. I actually combined 2 of these to make my small trailer legal. But for the price, it did what I wanted it too. The grommet that guards the wire into the back of the housing wasn't installed right and very cheap. So I just siliconed the shite out of everything before install. But the LED's are bright and work as they should. They have a dim running light, and then a bright active brake light. They responded well for my application as a trailer light set with brake, turn, and hazard signals working correctly.

Loctite is a must.
This is a simple bracket. The hinge is not very robust and not the best design either. Loctite is a must if you don't want the two hex bolts to walk out on you. I didn't want to worry about the screws coming loose so I welded the hinge in the position I wanted.I had to drill new holes to fit the existing tailight mount on my CRF250X. Plate holes line up great with a AZ motorcycle license plate however I drilled new holes in my plate closer together so the bolts would not stick out past my plastic fender on either side (purely cosmetic.)If you understand you will need to use loctite, some type of silicone or weld it to hold it in place than this will work great for you. 4 stars because it took all of 2 min to weld and modify to my exact needs.

Maybe it will work for you. Not for me.
I gave it 3 stars because it is as described, but didn't work for me. On one side it fits a normal moto plate but the other side isn't wide enough to mount on my tail. There isn't enough bend in the hing for it to sit flat when mounted. The worst issue is that it is held together with bolts that loosen every time you swing the hinge. If you use locktite it could work, but the point is mute since I can't fit it with my aftermarket tail.

Get what you pay for
It fit on a 2011 Suzuki Gsxr 750. It was easily installation, until I went for a ride and it broke off and took my license plate with it. So now my license plate is somewhere on a i80 highway smh. You literally get what you pay for! Good for temporary if you don't speed, but any speed on this and it breaks right off. Had to order a replacement and more costly.

Good idea but execution and design is not great.
It is hard to tell from the photos, but the two holes drilled on one of the arms is not the standard size of a motorcycle license plate. Both arms should have the oval cutouts like the lower half, or at least make the holes the width of a plate mounting holes.
