Fast transfers
This worked out great since I was transferring large 4K videos from my SD card and it went from about 80-90 Mbps to as high as 300 Mbps. The average speed to transfer is about 275 Mbps so it transfers like 3 - 4 times faster. Instead of minutes it usually gets in done in less than a minute. Good product, you wont be disappointed.

Most excellent
What I don't like: Needing to use a USB-C adapter and I would have preferred one with a few inches of cable (I often use my laptop, literally, on my lap, and having a rigid accessory plugged in is asking for trouble.But... I won't ding it any stars for these things, because it is only my subjective opinion and because if I truly wanted those features, I would have not bought this one, but the price was right. All I really care about is: does it read my SONY TOUGH SD Cards - YES, and does it read/write them quickly? YES.According to BlackMagic's Disk Speed Test on my 2017 MacBook Pro, it reads raw files off the card at about 260 MB/s and writes at about 160 MB/s... many times faster than a standard SD card and USB reader. I don't know why I waited this long to buy a proper reader for my fast cards... I guess I assumed they cost more. If you do a lot of photography, or use SD cards for data transfer, I strongly recommend the Sony Tough UHS-II SD cards and a UHS-II-compatible reader like this one!

Great speeds, reliable.
This thing works reliably, and I've never felt that this reader was the limiting factor on a card's read speed. Who knows what the max is, but I use cards that read at 200MB/s and they get almost their rated speed, and I chalk the difference up to the card and not the reader. I've had it about 2 years now and going strong!

Mac with Catalina, Sony A7R4
Bought some Lexar UHS II cards for my Sony A7R4. Plugged in the cards to the Mac (latest update); Raw images would not download; and JPEG was spotty at best. The computer is up to date. Apple support not much help; but I'm not the 1st one to run into this problem. This reader solved the problem; able to download the pics to Photos ion Mac; and get images into Lightroom. Of course; my SD slot on the MAC is useless (unless I revert to using pre UHS II cards).

Convenient way to transfer files
I got these USB card readers to help me transfer photos from my different devices/cameras to my laptop for backup storage and printing. I always found it super inconvenient to plug my cell phone to my lap top to transfer photos, keeping my phone tied up for too long. Now I can remove my SD card and plug it straight into the USB card reader to transfer everything and still have my phone free for use. I also love that I can take the micro SD cards from my cameras and transfer my photos without having to rummage through drawers trying to find the specific cords for each individual camera/device. This card reader has made the task of transferring files/photos so convenient.

Great Speed , should of gotten one of these sooner.
I only use UHS-II speed cards on all my cameras and have been using a UHS-I SD Card reader.I've upgraded to this high reading speed reader.Old reader averaged around 89 MB/s - Now with this new reader, I'm at 230 MB/s average.A lot less time waiting for that transfer.Need to buy another for when I'm traveling.Part 2 of review, I've gone back into my review and edited it. I'm seeing images of card readers above that don't match the item that in on the Amazon page. My image is of the card reader I purchased.GIKERSY UHS II SD Card Reader

Quality Card Reader - Great Price
I've had this card reader for about a week now. I was desperate for a UHS-II reader but didn't want to spend too much. Super happy with this. Feels well built. Having SD and Micro-SD slots is helpful too. Transfer speeds are as expected for a UHS-II reader. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

CF Card port does not work
I purchased this to be able to read my Compact Flash (CF) cards (plural). It won't read them. I plug the gadget into the computer and the computer recognizes that this card reader is plugged in, but when I insert my CF Cards, the computer does not recognize that anything has been plugged in.I have not tried the other two SD slots because I have no need to.So - this purchase was a waste of time and money.
