Great product and company to match!
The lights are a an attractive safety feature for our new exterior stairs. We bought two sets last summer, and when they were put out this spring, I wrote about a couple that failed to charge. The company responded immediately, clarifying the problem and sending a replacement to arrive within a week. The easy communication and positive response are rare things today!

Light our deck steps nicely
I ordered these lights to light the steps to our pool deck. They do a great job at that and we love the way the light looks. Gives our stairs kind of a resort look. A couple of things. First, these lights are small. I needed small lights to fit where I mounted them so they are fine for me, but 3" x 3" is pretty small and might not be what some buyers are looking for. Second, the instructions for the lights (what few instructions there are) instructs you to turn the light switch to on. This is a push button off and on switch so there are no markings to tell you when they are on. If you buy these lights know that they come in the off position. The easiest thing to do would be to take the lights someplace dark and see if they come on. The third thing has to do with mounting the lights. They come with screws and even sheet rock anchors. The problem is that the two holes on the back of the light for mounting are very small. If you mount the screws even a tiny bit too close together or too far apart, you will not be able to mount the lights. I had to reposition screws on almost every light to get the exact right fit. A paper template would have been a big help . Without it I feel it took me twice as long to mount the lights as it should have. So my 4 star rating instead of 5 it's because of the time it took to mount them.

They were perfect and bright until about a year later half of them stopped working :(

One out of six “on” all the time. Hardware cheap
Broken wire on the solar cell causes light to stay on. (One unit)Must be mounted out of the way or you can easily kick it off it’s screws while walking up the steps.Directions say drill 7 mm hole for anchor. This is way too big. Anchor is junk. These don’t look too waterproof…we will see how they make it through the winter.

these lights are as described and work pretty well; however
For the most part, these lights are as described and work pretty well; however, there are a few things you should be aware of:1. The screws supplied with the lights are very cheap. They'll break if you screw them into any kind of hard wood. I had 6-7 heads just spin right off. I bought stainless screws at Lowe's to replace the cheap screws supplied with the lights.2. You need to make a template to install. Don't try to "eyeball" it or you'll be frustrated. They should supply a paper template with these lights given how small the mounting holes are.3. The batteries that come with these lights are terrible. My lights have been installed for about 3 weeks, and the batteries are already losing their charge after about 4 hours. My lights get sun all day long. Prepare to buy replacement batteries.4. Battery replacement: You better have a small phillips head screwdriver, because there are 4 ea. tiny screws on the back you'll need to unscrew to get to the battery.5. On/Off switch: Put your glasses on because it's not easy to see if the switch is depressed through the opaque cover. Seriously, I had to have someone verify if I had actually pushed the button all the way.

Works so well that i got more!
I leaned these against the stairs that i wanted to light up before i permanently adhered them. I wanted to make sure they got ample sun and did the job i intended before i committed. they are excellent!!! i don't know exactly how long they stay lit at night but it lasts long enough for me - at least past 12am. and that's good enough for me.In fact they work so well and look so nice that i ordered more! Also - just a little tip for those of you that don't want to screw holes into your trex deck - i used command strips :) Easy!

Bright lights; easy to install; no complaints from me
These are bright and easy to install. Like someone else wrote, it would be nice to have had a way to know where to put the screws but I just used a piece of paper against the unit; marked where the holes are and used it as a template for where the screws belong on the stairs. I am a total disaster when it comes to doing things like this but this was easy and the lights look great. The instructions are add as it's hard to know when they are "on" or "off" w/o taking them into a dark room. But once that is figured out, it all works. These lights are bright. It's not that I want to guide people up the stairs; it's just that this part of the home is dark and I wanted to give it a little flair at night. This is in Phoenix where we get more than enough sun so they are always lit at night.
