I had previously had my important papers in a very heavy portable carry safe, but its weight would certainly have been a hindrance in case of fire requiring a quick exit of our home. This fireproof document bag is light weight, roomy, supports 8 1/2 x 11 papers and has a shoulder strap which I think would be so helpful to free up your hands.
