Great 4wd RC car. This is a great 4wd RC car period, not just for the money, although the price point makes it a great deal too. Battery life has been 15-20 minutes per charge, depending on how aggressive your driving style is. Open differentials front and rear provide realistic 4wd experience, does well on gravel trails, grass, roots, rocks, etc. Proportional throttle allows great control over vehicle speed but steering is not proportional, only full left or full right but this does not detract significantly from the driving experience, especially at this price point. This is the 3rd of these cars we have purchased, backyard racing is awesome, trail running at local parks, top speed is definitely faster than a walk so my kids wind up running to keep up, great exercise!!! It is not waterproof, water can enter the front of the housing where the steering gear is if you were to drive through a deep puddle, but water resistance is good, run in wet grass, leaves, and gravel with no issue. After 2 weeks of kids driving the first two with no broke parts, we bought the third, since then i have locked the rear differential in one car and the kids managed to break an axle, 52mm dogbone, which is easy to replace/ upgrade from the stock plastic piece to aluminum, will have to see how well the differential holds up with the aluminum axles. Overall a Great 4wd RC car, excellent value for money, durable construction and easy to source replacement/ upgrade parts.

Got 2 of these for the children, one in each body style. Fast and durable. The throttle is proportional but steering is not; far left or far right, no in between. If you have more than one truck/remote, you have to boot one set at a time; the remote binds to the truck at boot so if both remotes are on the first truck turned on can bind to either remote; that should make the remote a replaceable part. The range is to be expected for a toy radio system but the battery can be upgraded to a higher mAh capacity to extend runtime. It comes with 2x 1500mAh battery packs; they're often dead but that helps the children become aware of batteries and capacity ;)

We had this product for about a week and it almost caught on fire while not even being used. Recommend not leaving it unattended with battery in ... actually I would not recommend purchasing this at all it is a fire hazard!

My 3 year old loves it. Only problem is the connection cuts in and out occasionally. When the remote starts blinking it doesn’t control the car and I usually have to reset both. Is there a way to avoid or correct this?

Very nice for such an inexpensive rc. Pretty fast and torquey. Seems well built and durable to.

Got it for my son for Christmas.He loved it.

My 3 year-old has been jumping it through ramps and crashing head first against incoming Rumba. The product sustains damage and provides a solid 18 minute session. Feels like the best RC in Radio Shack...
