Useful for special purposes
Pathfinder Pawns are a direct replacement for miniatures, as they're exponentially cheaper, much easier to store, and available in a much larger variety. You can also get Pathfinder Pawns of specific NPCs that match the artwork in the books, and there are sets like "Inner Sea Codex" that give you tons of options for custom characters. This set is unique in that it provides technological adversaries -- androids, various types of robots, and NPCs wielding steampunk and alien tech weapons. In addition to working with the Iron Gods adventure path, a large percentage of these pawns will also be useful for games like Shadowrun. The only drawback is that I'd have liked to have had some more duplicates of the rarer monsters. The set gives you what you need for the encounters in the adventure path if you run it EXACTLY as written, but if characters level faster than expected you won't be able to adjust the numbers of opponents upwards. This also makes it harder to use these pawns for "use any minis you like" wargames like Songs of Blades and Heroes and Mutants and Death Ray Guns, 'natch, since you won't have enough of certain pawns to really use them properly. But I don't think Paizo really had that use in mind.

PAWNS!
As much as I love 3D plastic miniatures, the Pathfinder Pawns is rapidly becoming a favorite as well, offering us additional choices to "represent" enemies and allies in Pathfinder's specific Adventure Paths (like Iron Gods). Don't get me wrong I'd LOVE an actual set of pre-painted plastic miniatures for Iron Gods (not everyone would I realize) ... but since that probably won't happen, the Pawns will certainly do nicely.

The pawns are great, as usual
Strangely, this doesn't contain all the pawns needed for many fights. At times, you get two or three or a pawn you need five of. Other times, you just don't get one. I have some of the Bestiary pawn sets so I was able to round out a few of the missing creatures, however... I don't have anything from Bestiary 3 or 4. I'm guessing the collection is meant to supplement someone who has ALL the other Bestiary collections?Well, it's still four stars. The pawns are great, as usual. Just make sure you have some stands from another source.

Can be used for so many campaign scenarios.
Not my favorite of the pawns collections, but still great.

Satisifed. Bear in mind though, that it does NOT come with any stands - it is mentioned on the packaging, but still this fact may go overlooked. The pawns look great

they are ok
Some monsters/NPCs missing. Not enough of some, why only 2 of a creature when the adventure, they wrote, calls for 5? Not front and back veiw, front view on both sides of the card, we put a white dot on our stands to mark the front. That said, it's cool not using orc minis for four armed skeleton/zombie things, and having more accurate markers for the more exotic critters.
