This is a great set. It has an awesome variety of tools and I can see myself using all of them and often. Great quality too. They appear to be well made with care and attention to detail. Great price too! I recommend you order them immediately or else you will live in regret!

a lot tools for little money is worth it

used on WED clay to create sculptures to be molded - really pretty decent tools. Of course, if I was a professional sculptor I probably would get different tools, but these are just fine and it will take some time to find your favorites.

I'm a professional artist, and I bought these tools as a gift for a novice sculptor I'd like to encourage. I write this review from a practical perspective. As usual you get what you pay for, and this set is a decent starter set and easily worth the money! When I started, a set like this was a dream. BUT i'm experienced now. SO WHAT TO EXPECT: as I said, decent tools that will do the job your ability allows, only you'll have to do a bunch of additional clean-up because the tools are machined roughly and almost all have burs, which are tiny pieces of metal that stick off the cutting edges of the tools. Burs are formed when the tools are made. These spurs will scrape your clay in odd ways and leave streaks and divots in unintended places. If you can afford better tools and are finicky, you won't like these. But if you have a small metal file, the burs can be filed off. If you want a smoother finish, buy a finer file and bring the tool's surface for a shine. Here's the rub, at least one of the tools will have a divot in the cutting/scraping edge of the tool that can't easily be filed off. I say rub because to return the one tool, you have to return the set, since they are packaged as a set, and the new set may have a better version of the tool you intended to return, but another tool will have the same problem. I doubt any set have a complete set of evenly made tools. BUT-- if you are handy and want to work these tools, that is you have files and a small grinder and some metal polishing compound, you can tweak these tools to a professional finish and get years of use out of them, and in the process you'll save a lot of money (considering that some of these tools cost as much as this entire set from professional and high-end tool makers. Visit: sculpture house or Xiem tools [great but pricey]). That's that. They are worth the money, if at the cost of rough workmanship.

I received the tools in a box of multiple items from an order. The tools were in a medium weight plastic bag but the bag had become ripped since some of the tools are sharp and several tools were in the bottom of the box. All but one was accounted for. I figured out which one it was and I called Amazon. They offered a credit for the missing tool and I accepted since I could live without it.I have been using the tools non-stop and I am pleased so far. This is a great starter set.

Great tools! Very well made! There's a bit of a jiggle on a couple of them that I'll fix with a bit of epoxy putty, but that's nowhere near enough to remove a star. The bang for buck ratio is great on this!

Great assortment of tools! I use them with Monster Clay and Super Sculpey and they work great! Very durable for hard clay.
