Worth Checking
I was in London the week of this movies release so I can say Ive been lucky enough to have seen it. There has been a wave of so called hood movies coming out of Britain at the moment, and this film focuses around the lives of a girl gang (hence the derogatory term, Sket) and the (naive) main character. It also features "Asher D" from Get Rich Or Die Trying.Being one who enjoys international films (Harry Brown, Adulthood), I personally enjoyed this and think it worth watching. However, its in no way a classic.

A journey to nowhere...
This film has all the potential but just doesn't deliver unfortunately. The plot is sketchy and never really develops anywhere, though you're watching the film and waiting for this to happen. This could have been a brilliant home grown film that explores the world of girl gangs (which is what I originally thought) bur instead this is very vaguely glossed over. At times the acting is not very convincing, rather like the storyline, particularly Kay's character at times when one would expect to see great passion.Overall this movie is very disappointing and doesn't take you on much of a journey to anywhere. The plot and characters are far too premature and undeveloped for this film to be of any real significance.

Good, gritty drama
I liked this, as it was action packed, set in a lawless society. Only downfall was it being a bit brief, barely 90 minutes. Saw a trailer for it and bought because of that.
