Crimestopper SV-6818.EM.II Universal OEM Styled Embedded Camera

This is a great camera especially for the price. I installed this in a Mercedes Benz SL. It works perfectly and installation was fairly straightforward. The angle of view and optional guidelines make it a perfect backup camera. My only complaint is in the connections. The inline power connection seems a bit cheap but it does work just fine. The included extension cable which carries the video signal and power will be long enough for most cars but due to the design of my trunk lid I had to replace it with a longer cable.

Works great as rear backup even at night. Installed on 2013 Santa Fe Sport with Crime Stopper SV-9157 Mirror

Good value for the price. This is my 3rd camera like this.

Camera appeared to be of solid construction. Instructions noted options for the guide lines and flipping the picture depending on desired display. This is done by cutting either or both of the marked wires. The native picture was backward on a Kenwood DNX6990HD and there were no guide lines. I first attempted to reverse the image by cutting the appropriate wire in accordance with the instructions. No change. I then tried to see if I could get the guide lines to work in accordance with the instructions and again the camera failed to display them properly. Since I determined having a backward picture was more dangerous than having no camera at all, I decided to not install the camera. Fortunately the camera wasn't very expensive because I threw it in the trash. .

The item did not work and would cost to much to send it back and would have to pay the duties and tax again will not buy from there ever again
