Great book to learn about your senses and who doesn't love pickles
My son came home with this book from school on a loaner program for the week not only does my son look just like the character on the front of the book he loves pickles and I mean loves them. This book was great because it helps explain the five senses to kids cuz we can tell them touch hear see smell taste but that doesn't mean that they're listening to us yet when they can see a picture which is teaching them see when they know what they're looking at cuz they've smelled certain items when they know what we show them a picture of something that's referring to sound they know what that sounds like when we show them a picture of an animal that they know then they know that that's what that feels like they start to understand and it's a simple book that as you're reading they start to read it and the next thing you know you're only having to say one or two words because they're finishing it for you. It's amazing how often my son wants to read this book that I had to find it and I had to buy it for him and he loves it and I love that he loves it because it means that he's learning to love reading and using his mind it may be a simple book but it's a simple book that you can do step by step with your kids and helped open that door to them that there's more than just YouTube videos and cartoons that say these things this is you having that one-on-one personal time in connection with them as well which is amazing and something that needs to always be built and fostered and loved and nurtured

Great Word Book
Great book for toddlers. The illustrations are adorable and there are so many neat words for them to learn. I love how she divided the book into see, smell, touch and taste sections and how she repeats some of the same scenarios into more than one sense kind of like I taste a pickle and then again in another section I hear the pickle's crunch, etc.

The title is MISLEADING! It’s NOT about a PICKLE!
It was damaged by the bag it was sealed in. But I won’t be replacing it because it is NOT about a PICKLE! The title is very misleading! I was expecting a cute little story about the 5 sense used for a pickle. But there is no storyline at all. Its just pictures describing senses. We can teach them about their sense in real time. A kids book should be have a storyline. Very disappointed.

I hear a great children's book!
My two year old granddaughter asks for this book each night, and her five year old sister loves the book as wall. This book explores the five senses and gives realistic everyday examples that kids latch onto.

Great "hook" for beginning a unit dealing with the five senses!
I used the book to introduce a "five senses" focus unit. My student loved it. There are lots of integrated vocabulary options and provides roll play opportunities with actions in the book that the reader can also do for real world experience connections.

I love this book! My autistic 4-year-old is entertained and he is putting together all of the senses. This has been a great tool!

Nice book that breaks down the different senses
Jacket was ripped a little, but I generally do not care about that. Nice book that breaks down the different senses.
