I always used dubbin for walking boots etc, but the internet said neatsfoot was the daddy so that's what i got. Hooray for the internet, wisdom of crowds etc. once applied it takes about 24 hrs to soak in properly but after that my boots were totally waterproof. Then I used it on my girlfriends old boots and it was like magic, watching the leather suck it up like zombies suck brains. we were impressed with how the colour of dry old leather came back rich and full and left a healthy looking waterproof finish. top notch, thank you internet
