Summit Treestands Sentry SD Closed Front Climbing Stand

This is a great tree stand. I bow hunt as well as rifle, and the stand is great for either. It’s very light, easy to climb with safely, and surprisingly comfortable for long hours in the woods.The included safety harness is terrible, I would buy a new one, as well as a new safety rope. Also, though I haven’t yet, I’ll be replaceing the backpack straps, as the included ones are junk. The climber is easy for me to use and carry, and the position of the seat when on my back makes a great shelf for my small day pack, so it’s a neat and tidy package hiking though the woods. The flip up seat makes bow hunting great. I like the enclosed bar, and even when sitting it’s mostly out of the way for bow hunting because the seat sits high up.My bother in law has an API, and while that’s a quality stand as well, I really liked the summit style of cables and the quick trigger adjustment. It makes putting it in the tree so much easier.My only complaint is the straps, because they are big bungee cords, the stand tends to hit the back of my legs when on my back. Hence the planned strap update.

I love summit climbers, they are the easiest to climb with in my opinion. I owned a viper aluminum before this and it was the most comfortable stand to sleep in, I mean hunt in...The seat on the sentry is very comfortable. I'm 5'9" and it was a bit too long from the tree, so I cut 3" off and put back on and now it's perfect. It is on the big side but is still pretty light. The seat also folded up, or down while carrying it, doubles as a shelf to carry a pack on in and out of the woods.

great stand I have been using an API for years, this is much bulkier and harder to climb with however a really comfortable stand once you get in position.

Was a present for the Son. He loves it. Very well made. I think it will last a long time. The box is huge. Hid it in my bathroom for a month.

For the bow hunter, this is a great stand. Solid on the tree, climbs well and comfortable. Only downside, it’s a little heavy and cumbersome to pack. This wouldn’t be great for trekking deep into the woods to hunt from.

I only gave this product 3 stars because I've barely had it for a week. So far so good. My workers said its easy to work with and sturdy. They have to climb very high trees. The construction seems to be built strong but I'll know the more it is used. I will give an update in a few months.

I’ve used a couple summit stands in the past but this stand is designed for bow hunting perfectly. Light weight, your seat is a great hieght for shooting in the sitting position. Very pleased

If you are a bow hunter and don’t have this climber. You are missing out. This is the best bow hunting climber I’ve ever had.
