This lamp arrived in a square box. At first I thought it was sheets that I had ordered. The directions only show each piece numbered in the order to put it together. The lamp shade clips onto two metal rings and then has a velcro seam. Really nice lamp.

The day I got it I came back to see about getting another one and it's already sold out! LOL. I hope more come in. I had no assembly instructions but it was pretty easy to put together. The only thing I had a problem with was the lamp shade and I was able to come to the Amazon page and find out how to put the lamp shade together. I was trying to put it on inside out lol. I am going to see if I can put a brighter bulb in it but other than that I really like this lamp. ETA: I am editing this to add that I wish the base was wider as one of the lamps no longer will stand up on it's own. I have to have it leaning up against something or have the base under something to keep it standing up.

Easy to assemble. Liked the 3 brightness options and the foot on/off switch. Wish the lampshade was attached differently. Haven't been able to find a replacement (I don't want tan color). I say great lamp for the price. Good for reading or knitting which is what I wanted it for.

I did not “assemble” the rolled up shade (hence the lower marks). I used a shade I had. The directions for all the assembly were rather poor - but it is study enough. The lack of good shade assembly directions made me thankful I had one to use.I dislike that the only “off/on” is a floor button. I had to loop the cord on an end table leg to keep it where I could reach down to press it. Weird design IMHO.The bulb it shipped with was a nice addition - because you then have one that fits - as a larger bulb would be visible. I will ensure when it needs replacing I carry it with me for comparison.Overall 3/5 for me due to worthless shade, poor on/off and dreadful directions.

Just what I was looking for is sturdy and then looks very nice. It's a good piece great value.

I had one lamp that I have to return because it came broken, so this is the second one. I did change the bulb as it was too bright white/ cool for me. It's turned on by a step button so it's easy to use and I think it turned out nicely. It's not super easy to put together, as it comes two metal circular pieces and then the shade to wrap around them, having someone help me made it so much easier. As she clipped in the top I clipped in the bottom.
