Beautiful detailing, but does not work with chocolate!
This does not and will not work for chocolate! After numerous attempts with broken necks, I cut away some of the silicone to widen the opening around the neck. This also failed numerous times. The neck simply is too thin to be stable enough to remove it from the mold. Additionally, the mold around the neck itself encircles the chocolate except for a small opening, which is then very difficult to get the chocolate to pop out. It’s impossible even after carefully cutting a larger opening. It’s unfortunate because the detailing of the feathers on the body and the face is remarkable, very beautiful. That said, I finally tried fondant, which provided enough flexibility to remove the swan from the mold. I don’t like the taste of fondant and had planned on chocolate so I’m disappointed that I needed to make this change in direction let alone the cost of needing to try two different materials. I would not purchase this again, nor would I recommend it.
