Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Absolutely love this cam!! I have owned a couple before this one, that just wasn't worth the plastic that they were made from. BUT, not this one! It was very easy to set up. Very simple to use. Does everything I want and need in a camera. I love the way that it pans and tilts. It gives you an almost 360 degree of view. It has a microphone and speaker built in, allowing you to listen to what you are watching, and allows you to speak to whomever is in the room with the camera. It has night vision, which is very clear and easy to view in a pitch black room. It has a slot for an MicroSD card for recording purposes. I am still playing with the software and learning what all it is capable of doing. It can be set to alarm and send you alerts like a motion detector. I am very happy with this camera as it has outperformed other more expensive cameras that I have tried and returned.

This product initiates network connections back to Singapore/china as soon as it's online. It then uses these connections to proxy your video stream to you. This camera has zero documentation as to why this would occur, and I've seen no evidence of any security implemented on the device (like https, or encryption of the video stream). I have found no way to disable this in the configuration of the camera and blocking connections to China's geolocation prevents the app from working at all. This not only puts your video stream at the mercy of whoever owns that server in china, but also exposes your internal networks to whatever commands may be sent back to the camera from the server. This is a huge security flaw and no one should purchase this camera.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing this camera if you are thinking to buy it for security reasons. I had issues getting it to work, so I tried to read the "documentation." The translation from the native language (Chinese?) to English was terrible. I still couldn't get it to work. Then I tried to download "a manual" from the website. Which led me down a path of insecure and hacked website messages. But the vendor "claims" these are erroneous messages and the site is secure. No, I will not download anything at any time, ever, from a Chinese site that provides messages like that. I couldn't get it to work so I returned it.

I have had this camera (two actually) since June, 2017. Never had a baby camera or security cameras before. This little camera is amazing and the price is amazing.I have since bought two different outdoor cameras, one is a PTZ camera and the other is STATIONARY camera. Each a different brand and much more expensive. If this company made an all weather, outdoor camera I would buy because it does everything the more expensive cameras do and more. This has two way audio and the outdoor cameras do not. One is supposed to have one way audio but I can't hear anything that is happening outdoors. I have one of the baby cameras in my garage this winter (New England, USA) with temperatures reaching below zero some days this winter. Mind you, this is an indoor camera. It has performed well. The app is CAMHI. It lags sometimes, but from what I've read, all wifi apps do. If you have more than one camera you can only see one camera image at a time as apposed to some apps where you can see all four cameras on one screen. JB

My elderly mother suffers from dementia. We began looking for a surveillance camera that would allow us (her siblings) to be able to monitor her activities yet still allow her to live an independent life-style. After much research, I chose the LEFTEK. The set-up was somewhat easy (I'm not tech-savvy) and after updating the firmware, was blown away by the features of this product. The picture quality is awesome (both day and night). I particularly love the fact that we (three of us) can monitor her activities and can pan the camera (from our homes) to track her activities in her living room and kitchen. The motion sensor allows us to be able to know if she is moving about, even when our phone app is is turned off. Mom feels safer knowing that we are "keeping an eye" on her.

I have given it 4 stars out of 5 because I do not like the fact that you have to use Internet Explorer to view it with your computer. Besides this is a awesome camera for the price. I mainly use it for remote viewing using IP cam viewer from the Android play store. If using IP cam viewer select brand Loftek model HDX 2640. They do not have this brand in there, that or it's a typo. Setting it up this way with IP cam viewer allows you to view the camera output and pan it around. As well as listen to the microphone and you can speak through it speaker using your phone.

We had constant problems with the camera being able to connect to our phones. When I wanted to see the image I couldn't reliably expect to pull it up. Sometimes not at all! I actually spent 15 minutes trying to pull up the feed once & never did succeed! We tried closing & re-opening the app and letting it sit to try & connect for extended periods. Returned this & got a better one!!

It has a great price, and quite useful features; this is one more of those Chinese OEM cameras, but quality/price is good.Be aware that P2P connection can get compromised if left in the network, and there's no really clear documentation on where to update the firmware for security patches, but for the tech-immerse guys it is a good price to tweak and then secure yourself.Have not tested the motion detection nor the email alerts, but it really rocks on as a baby monitor from local network :)
