Does the job
Despite the title of the product, this is NOT a charger but a battery replacement. That is what I was expecting when I purchased it.I purchased it as a backup to power my EOS T4i on a recent vacation. It fit the camera perfectly and worked as expected. The cable length was long enough for me to put the battery either in my coat pocket or even my backpack. The camera worked fine on both 1AMP and 2AMP outputs from my Anker battery tank. When measuring the current draw using my DROK USB tester, the camera seems to peak at 0.6 A in normal use and draws more than 1A only when charging the flash. As an FYI, it does get a little awkward when you need to hand the camera off to someone to take a photo of you, and if you are not paying attention the long cord can get caught on things when you are walking. The USB end of the plug is huge, so keep that in mind in conjunction with the form factor of your battery. Also be aware that because there is no battery or charge storage in the adapter itself, you can't swap battery tanks without turning the camera off first.I use my camera for video and long exposure photography and am looking forward to trying it out for those activities as well.

Didn't work for my Canon T4i. Tried two different high power USB charger plugs and the camera would not power up.Edit: moved rating to 3 stars. Via another product discovered that the battery door must be closed for camera to turn on. There's a little rubber flap on the camera body side for the power cord to pass through so door can be closed. This may have been my problem.

its possible to use pretty much any usb source like a portable battery phone ...
works perfectly on my canon T3i. instead of buying the teeny original canon manufactured 1120mah batteries, its possible to use pretty much any usb source like a portable battery phone charger. set up like this, I got can easily get 4 times the run time on my t3i. purchasing a bigger battery for maybe around $30, its possible shoot uninterrupted all day. the downside of it is you end up with a cord traveling through a little rubber flap out of the battery chamber of the camera. when shooting with the camera strapped around your neck, the cord runs into the pocket your carrying the battery and gets annoying. there is however a way to hack this by just getting a pouch that can attach to your camera strap, or a new strap with built a built in pouch. now carrying the battery inside this pouch, since the cable in this case can easily bundle with the strap, it won't get in the way and you wont have to think about running out of juice and just sacrifice a little weight as a result.TrueSHOT Camera Strap with Black Neoprene Design and Quick Release Buckles by USA Gear - Works with Canon PowerShot SX410 , EOS 80D , Rebel T5 and More DSLR , Mirrorless , Instant Cameras

When in a jam, this little baby sure makes life easier. Just knowing that you have a battery back power for your camera, when you out in no man's land, give you a great peace of mind.

Good chance it wont work.
Doesn't work, didn't even cut the camera on. I know it isn't my camera or battery because I had a coupler that worked just fine but the usb connection got smashed and broke.

Doesnt seem to provide enough power to keep camera happy.
So just tried it out on both my powerbank which is rated for 2.1amp out and my samsung wall charger which is also rated for 2.1amp (both were tested with other devices to ensure they were working) and my t5i manages to power up but restarts every time i try to take a picture.
