Great for the price - signal strength is OK
Signal strength isn't super strong. I plugged this adapter into the back of my PC for cleanliness and when I sat further back from my PC, say 6 feet, my Bluetooth headphone would start to cut out. I moved the adapter to the front of my PC and now it works perfectly.Setup was instant. I plugged into my Windows 10 PC, it detected right away and installed the drivers automatically.6 MONTHS LATER UPDATE: My desktop's USB port is vertical and this device seems to have a "strong side/weak side". If I flip it around (using a different USB port), the signal strength is way better. Used to get a little choppy at times, now it's solid.

Bluetooth and Windows 10 just dont go together.
Any bluetooth device that requires more than one step is worthless. It`s supposed to be "plug and play", yet I have to use an installation CD and I still spent HOURS searching for solutions. Windows 10 and bluetooth dongles just don`t work together because of these one-size-fits-all garbage drivers that dont work. Threw it away and placed an order for an internal bluetooth card adapter because i wanted to do was use my headphones on my PC without an audio cable.

AWFUL, DOA (Dead on arrival). The product does not work. Period. Plugged it in and immediately started acting funny. LED was flickering then came on to a solid dim blue. Moved it around and it came on fully. After installing the drivers the device stopped working. Rebooted and it worked for a short time. Then after that i began wiggling it and it came on and disconnected 10+ times. Now it dims itself and turns off randomly. The product was clearly cheaply made. I will never purchase another thing from this seller. Thanks for ruining my only holiday purchase.

Works well.
Works without install on Win10. Win7 you'll need to fight to make it work. But that's a Microsoft thing and you'll do that battle with any BT dongle so full points.Using it for cheap wireless headphones. This and a $20 pair of BT earphones and I can switch to silent running on the TV (computer/HTPC).Probably not much of a market since nobody has PC's anymore, so glad it's out there.

Plug and play on Linux Mint
This was plug and play on Linux Mint 18.2 (for Cinnamon, use System Settings > Hardware > Bluetooth). Pairing with Bluetooth headphones was easy--I just turned on pairing with the headphones while the Bluetooth settings window was open, and clicked on the headphones, then went into audio settings and switched to the headphones. Sound quality is as expected--maybe a little better than my phone, even. Will update if I run into any issues.

PURE FRUSTRATION -- DOESN'T WORK, PERIOD
Frustration, frustration, frustration. The "non-descript-software" simply doesn't work. Oh, it works "some" of the time on "some" devices, but don't turn off your computer because it must reset and you have to start all over again. Searches on the Internet are no help. Any attempt to fix this thing with a fresh installation by downloading and re-installing doesn't work, either.

Worked for a little while
This dongles worked for a few months but the range was not great and after a while it would start to malfunction and my computer would slow down significantly while the bluetooth dongle was on and connected to something.

The manufacturer of the bluetooth chip has been purchased by ...
The manufacturer of the bluetooth chip has been purchased by Qualcomm, which means the drivers no longer exist on the internet, as the support pages are gone. The only way to get this to work on Windows 7 is to have a disk drive and use the mini-disk provided.
