Echo Valley 8103 10-Inch Glass Gazing Globe, Mauve

Well,As many others have complained about this item; I too am yet another victim of a scam of scams. I received this item on July 06, 2017. It was fine. But that was NOT to last. Last week while we were away, ALL of the inner metallic disintegrated into the neck of the Globe.Of course it is a week over the 30 day "Amazon Return" policy. So as many others have complained, I too have been taken. Yes, I hesitated for a long time before I bought it. But I sadly, rationalized that maybe the factory had fixed the problem. But of course they didn't. And all it is now is a piece of ugly junk.So sad indeed. Oh well.

This ball replaced an old ball I bought at year end sale at Homedepot. I suspect it is same manufacturer. The other ball lasted at least 4 years before being broken by a falling object. It kept it's gleem and was clear with a slight pattern. Could not find the same ball so chose this. It is a striking color, well made but suffers from the same defect as the prior ball...the rubber (stinking Chinese rubber) is tight when you get it and falls off in a week. This time I decided to electrical tape it on. It is a water seal so I hope it does ot build up pressure. In their defense these are hand made so each nipple is a different size so they must have problems fitting one seal. In my case it was stretched on well and still fell off the first day.You can not go wrong with this supplier and the quality for the price...ships well packaged!

I loved the silver gazing ball that I received on 5/1/20. Just this weekend, I noticed all the silver coating had dissipated. Now I have a clear ball. Unfortunately, the 30 day return had just expired a couple of weeks ago. I would not recommend this product if the silver coating doesn't last. As a note, I have order at least 6 gazing balls in the past couple of years and have never had this issue. Maybe it is a fluke.

I received one of these for my birthday 5 years ago from same company. It was beautiful and held up well. No problem with the color, no peeling or chipping. Last month, we had a storm and it was blown off the pedestal I had it on and smashed to smithereens. I bought another from this company since the last held up so well. I have had it just one month and the WHOLE ball has peeled. They must have changed the coating or the method in how they coat them to something cheaper. VERY disappointed!!!

If I could give it less than one star I would. Installed in July and it's pretty much ruined now. I should get a refund. But I probably won't even hear from the seller or manufacturer.As of today, June 24,2019 I am yet to hear from the seller or manufacturer.

I bought this globe to replace one that I accidentally broke while cleaning. I was afraid it was too big even though I used the measurements that other people had posted. It didn't fit at first, but I realized the black rubber was still inside the pedestal from the old gazing ball. Once I removed it, the new gazing ball fit perfectly. It is a beautiful cobalt blue color & one of my favorite bargains to ever find at Amazon! P.S. So glad I waited until it was on sale for $14.49 before buying it.

The globe on the first day was beautiful when it arrived but after one week started getting black spots all over it from the sun very poor choice very unsatisfied never buy this product from this company it is not a good quality piece of merchandise save your time and money and energy waiting for this disappointment

The picture is the color I ordered. I got one that was part silver and a little purple. Looked like it had been returned previously as it was dirty. I had bought it as a gift. Cleaned it up, put in a different box as I did not have time to return.VERY DISAPPOINTED! I paid alot of money for a used, dirty gazing ball. I will not order one from this company again! When I order something and pay good money for it, I expect it to be right. I should not have to repackage and ship it back and pray that the next one"might" be right.

Globe arrived as described,no surprises.Good value when compared to the garden stores.May be a little tacky but who cares******I like it.Update after less than a months use**Less than a month after being placed outside in the garden the mirror finish has come off the globe and it looks like hell**I contacted company customer relations who confirmed that this product was prone to failureYet they continue to sell it** SAVE YOUR MONEY**

I was pleased when the ball was first delivered but after a few months the shine started to fade. Now after 5 months the ball looks like crap since the silvering is all coming off the inside of the ball. Don't be swayed by reviews written shortly after delivery. A stainless steel ball "may possibly" stand up better.

Put it in my garden in early June and by September 3rd the silver was gone. Give this a pass.
