My first unit seemed to have a fault --- on settings which bring on the strobe light, sometimes don't turn it off. This discharges the unit far faster than the solar panel can charge it, so you end up charging every 24 hours with the mains charger. I was supplied me with a second unit free of charge, but after several weeks of testing in my garden I can only report that the battery becomes discharged too quickly just the same as with the first unit. On settings 1 to ~ 2 the strobe does not appear to be part of the deterrent process so the unit works for a long time without manual charge. Above those settings the strobe is used and before long does not get switched off, resulting in a flat battery.No other customer appears to have reported this fault. I must be very unlucky.

Was very pleased with this, had no more unwanted cat business on lawn whilst item was working + irritated KIDS (Brought early September 2017). Started to notice that the light would stay on, so draining the batteries. Strange would turn off when I went to sort it but again as soon as it was activated, light would stay on. Even tried it in different locations!!! No matter what sensitivity level was chosen, having to charge daily and not even lasting the night.

Still not convinced this works. Initially the strobe light stayed on, so had to re-charge, then the light didn't work at all. Only found cat mess behind the actual item. Moved it to another place and again the cats went in an area of garden not covered. I need to re-charge regularly as there's not enough sun to charge it. I might need 3 or 4 to totally cover the garden.

I first put this down in my front garden. At first it seem to work, the cats were not coming in.However, the rain started to pour and my monitor stopped working. I brought it inside to dry off then it started working again. So I took it back outside. It rained the next day, and it stopped working again.Now the cats are back!!!I did have high hopes. I don't know what to do now, so fed up with these cats.

Solar powered- I guess it would help if we had anything more than grey skies in Manchester. So you have to keep charging them every week or so. Some of the cats are not that bothered by them.

This charges and works well.Tried all of the settings and non work for cats, dogs, mice, of beach martins.

I guess you can only give opinion on items like this after using for a while. Well so far so good. We have found no cat mess since we have installed it, so they have either decided on using someone else's garden or the Repellent actually works.My guess is the latter.
