Magnets might or might not be a good idea but they fell off in the package thereby negating what I think was supposed to be some kind of retention system. Clipboard is no big deal without the retention. Somebody will use it when I lose it on the course.

Powerful Magnets
Perfect for Disc Golf!!! I love this for tournament rounds. It makes keeping score a lot less painful. I attach it to my bag and I know that it will be there.
