The box had been opened (there was no outer box to the toner box). The toner had been jammed between the two polystyrene parts inside the box. However, having recently had 3 phone calls from the seller, who assured me that the cartridge itself is indeed a genuine, new, Brother part; and having given me a spoken guarantee on that, I am hopeful this will fine. So four stars.

The toner cartridge arrived when it was said it would and was a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

Expensive, but I've never had any problem with them. I have no idea how much the cartirdges cost to make, but the price of consumables (including the drum, which is a monstrous price for what it is) is obvisouly out of kilter with the price of the printer. Would I perefer to pay more for the printer, and less for the consumables? I really don't know.

My Rector tells me that it did not do as many copies as a Brother TN3060 usually produces. It came without a Brother box and one does wonder whether we were short-changed with its contents. I will order another as the price is very competitive but will check whether it lasts as long as boxed Brother TN3060 toners do. We know how many copies we usually get from a new cartridge. I will report again.
