Clear images, and easy enough to set up. It would be 5 stars if the documentation came with an easier guide as to how to set up to use either Synology software or the rather less appealing but more compatible Phycam software.

I have had my unit for a couple of years now, and apart from some minor hiccups, that were addressed with the help of their customer support, it has performed well.However, the app that I downloaded for my Android devices is no longer available for Apple devices. It used to be, and they're still advertising that it is but it isn't. I have moved to Apple and now I can't access my camera.Tellingly, all my emails to the same address that helped me so well before are just being ignored, which tells me that they are ashamed of their shady approach to ongoing customer support and won't engage with me.If remote access to your camera is important to you, find another make.

Lovely camera, please read my top tips which may help with installation!Well so far so good. Ordered the camera and it arrived, on time, as confirmed when purchased here on Amazon.All I've done so far is set it up to connect to my home Wifi. It's a lovely looking bit of kit - very pleased so far and looking forward to getting it to work when it's up outside - I'll update this once it's properly installed.However, few tips for anyone buying this product - this may help you and save you some time (and frustration!!!!)1 - Getting into the Camera wasn't simple. After searching online and via their direct website, I struggled to work this out. The camera itself was really well made and seemed impenetrable. However, as a tip (see part 2 as this would explain it all however...), to access it, turn the top half of the camera counter-clockwise AFTER removing the top shield. Its proper tight (well made!) but once it comes apart, its simple, but this may help you initially.2 - Presuming you'll have ordered a micro SD card or have one already, I struggled to find out how to put the SD card into the camera. The "Quick Install Guide" didn't advise how to do it, just that you must do it BEFORE you connect to the Network. You can find the answer (took me 20 minutes to find this after digging around on their website (couldn't find anything via Google or YouTube) - here is the link ("www dot phylink dot com/support/articles/PHYLINK_How_to_setup_recording_to_MicroSD_card_V160304.pdf"; on page 4 of 6 but make sure to zoom in so you can clearly see where the SD goes). This may save you some time.*Note for Phylink, please put this in your manual, with a clear picture as it does help!3 - When you first try to find the camera on your mobile phone, you'll be asked to input your UID on page 3 of the "Quick Install Guide". Now when I read it (I'm not hugely tech savvy, but I get by!) it confirms a UID with a code next to it. I assumed this was it...it's not! I was getting so frustrated that it wouldn't connect, trying over and over. So, finally, I read further on through page by page....thinking I was missing something really basic I finally found out where to find it (easy when you know how!), page 8, step 1, option 2 "...UID from the STICKER on the camera cable..." - yes!On the camera camera, turn it round and there is the code. Took a time to find but hopefully this will save you a bit of time.*Note, Again, PHYLINK, top tip, in your manual where the FIRST UID is discussed - having it in bold saying "it's on the sticker cable" would massively help!4 - May well be something obvious, however, when you connect your Camera to Wifi, taking it away from the Ethernet cable, DON'T disconnect the cable yet, you'll not find your local Wifi. Instead search FIRST for your local Wifi, and then remove the hard link Ethernet cable. If you remove the cable first then the Wifi list will not work.I'll leave a further review as I get to know the camera better but hope the above will help, if so please click that this review was helpful :-)Cheers.

A dreadful product that fails to do anything it says on the tin. The mains feed lead is only long enough to ensure that wherever you install the camera on the outside of your wall, you need to make sure there is a powered plug immediately the other side of the wall! Not particularly useful in many cases. There were no instructions on how and where to install the micro SD Card so after an hour of puzzlement I plucked up the courage to open the camera in half and thankfully found the slot - I'm not sure anyone without any technical know how would have achieved this. There is absolutely no night vision or infra red at all - in spite of there being several LED looking little bulbs in the camera glass - these appear to be for show as they don't do anything. The mains connector at the camera end had to be taped by me with black masking tape to keep it from separating all the time (photo attached), as I kept having to undo the waterproof junction box and reconnect the loose lead. Finally the image, a complete let down. This cannot be HD surely! I can barely make out from the footage whether the people in it are my family or complete strangers. Given that the main reason for purchasing this kit and spending two days installing it was to be able to see exactly what was going on in my front garden, I am bitter disappointed that I cannot. I cannot recommend this product to any readers.

This was satisfactory but now the apple store don’t support it and my app on my phone doesn’t work . Anyone recommend software fir this cam

good camera

Just simply one of the best purchases I've made since the last one, but I love this. Didn't take long to fix it to my external wall. I drilled through the wall to feed the cable and connect to a socket and once i'd fitted it I had the camera working within 20 minutes.Those who say the motion sensor is either too sensitive or not at all have not set it up right. For me I found the right balance after a few days. It was great to see the window cleaner had arrived when I was sitting on a beach in Spain and, although not intentionally, identified the cleaner was working 25% less than was being paid for.Wifi is great, picture quality is great, recordings are great. I can't complain about any of these.Setting up the motion alarm was a little annoying but only because I had to "confirm" and turn on three times before it actually turned on and confirmed.My only gripe is towards the power supply. I wish there was a simple way you could extend the power supply just in case the power socket isn't close to where you drill through your house. I was lucky, but others may not be.I ended up buying another for our office.
