Tricky product

The light-box is not as robust as it appeared on the image when I purchased it. The reason I bought this product was to photograph jewellery and it has been more than adequate in this respect and I have been pleased with the results. Similar products offer more coloured backgrounds but one black and one white background suited my needs perfectly. I found the lighting to be uniform around the box with the USB powered light allowed the jewellery to sparkle. I liked the fact the you can power the light using a USB power bank and it does not seem you use that much power either. During my research I found products that were more expensive, however, if you only intend to photograph fairly small objects then I would encourage anyone to buy this product. For the price it offers great value for money.

This is a great light weight photo box, which is very portable.However setting it up was; bit of a challenge to same the least.The photo box was folded down, therefore to unfold it, you have to pull out; with a bit of force the left and right sides for it to unfold completely.As it is plastic, I didn't want to pull or twist the sides too hard, in case I damage it, a instruction manual would have made setting it a lot easier.Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star, it worked flawlessly first time with the usb lead. It's a pity it doesn't come with a setting up manual.

Picked this up for my (at the time of writing) final foray into toy photography. This light box was just fine for my needs, though the end of the LED strip had a tendency to come away once I had plugged a USB cable into it. I assume the larger, more expensive iteration of this product isn't prone to what is otherwise a minor flaw. The foam backdrops are fine, they are a good fit within the box.In short- easy to assemble/disassemble and store, probably not the best one for heavy/semi-regular use.

While this light box does serve its purpose, there are serious problems. First off, it's not very easy to unfold and unpack. I felt like I was going to damage it before I had even gotten to use it. After I'd put it up and taken a few photos, I was looking to dismantle it, fold it up gain and store it. This turned out to be a mistake, as the plastic poppers holding it together at the sides broke as soon as I tried to take it apart. There's also the problem that the reart of the structure has holes in it, meaning you've got to get right in close to get a decent picture, otherwise whatever is behind your box is going to show through. I imagine this would be fairly easy to fix with a couple of bits of paper or thick card, but it shouldn't be necessary.All in all, quite poor, and nothing at all like what I was expecting. Save your money and just set up your own makeshift box with paper and a lamp.

This is a great product it provides even lighting, easy to assemble and disassemble, comes with a nice carry case and is a good size to photograph plated food.But... I’ve only had this product a couple of days and the connection where you plug the usb in has detached from the light leaving me unable to plug in the light from the one side. You do have the option to plug in the lights from the front but that will not always be practical for me.I will be returning the item but reordering in hopes that I had a defective product.

Have used this to take some photos but to be honest it's very flimsy and collapses as your setting it up ( once it's set up it should be ok for a while) . The magnets are very weak and the board itself takes a while to settle but then you get what you pay for! The best advise is once you've got it set up take as many photo as you can before you put it away and have to reset it up again!

Once it is out of the box, it doesn't go back in the carrying case so "portable" isn't really true. The plastic is fairly hard it is like an origamai puzzle to fold up and down. The sides snap together but the snaps are difficult to align and even when you do, the sides leaned in making it difficult to get a shot from the front. More importantly, after 4 months, the connector for the LED lights to the computer snapped off. The glue holding the LED lights started to come apart. It's in the bin. Also, note that I wasn't hard on this piece of equipment. I put it together, tried to put it back in the sleeve - had no success - and kept it up and assembled (I was hoping the sides would straighten out) for three months - sitting under my desk when it wasn't in use.
