Wavy edge after folding to V profile means it doesn't seal
This should work really well, but two flaws, one more serious than the other.1) SNAGGING: The length of the adhered "foot" part of the V and the "free to flex" portion are identical in length. This means that if you use a return edge of a door frame to guide the application and keep it straight when folded over to almost fully flat, it will snag against that return edge and stay flat, not returning to a V shape required to fill a gap. If the "free to flex" portion was just a fraction shorter, it would not snag when used in this way.2) WAVY EDGE: When it arrives on the roll, it is flat and needs folding to a V profile after application/bonding to door frame etc. Unroll it, and it sits nicely flat-to-surface, before you fold it.Once folded over into a V, however, even on a nice flat doorframe, the free edge of the "free to flex" portion ends up wavy, but still relatively stiff. This means that when the door closes on it, it folds at the apex of the V form, but the wavy edge is too stiff to flatten against the door, and so there are loads of gaps. It probably blocks up about 60 - 70% of the air gap, but it seems there must be a better material selection for this purpose that is more compliant. On seeing the effect, I removed the frist attempt and tried a second time, folding super carefully the second time, perhaps 10% better, but exactly the same fail. See photo of my second, and marginally better, attempt. So, a seal that doesn't seal isn't really a seal. It's more accurately a "DRAGHT REDUCER" rather than "DRAUGHT EXCLUDER".

Simple, cheap and effective
This worked a treat on some very draughty doors to my attic eaves. Foam seals were too thick and the door wouldn't close, but these 'V' seals did a great job.Really easy to apply and seem to be working a treat!

Too hard and does not stick well
The plastic used in this product is way too hard for any meaningful application, it makes it not flexible enough. If you don't place it perfectly straight, it will form 'waves' which means it won't seal properly.I think I tried it once a couple of years ago and forgot how bad it is, don't buy it.

Not effective on my door
The V-Seal design seemed like the perfect solution to my draughty door, but in practice it was disappointing. Installation was easy - the adhesive had good grab and stayed put, and the strip was easy to cut with shears. You do of course need a stable surface to stick it to, so you need to remove any flaking paint and fill any voids. The end result, however, was not good. The small force per centimetre needed to compress the seal, multiplied by several metres of strip length, resulted in a very large force on the door. Only a giant could have opened and closed it using hands alone. After all that, the seal efficiency was poor and the draught still got through. In the end I removed it and fitted an external door seal, the type with an aluminium extrusion holding a rubber strip. That worked perfectly. Conclusion: Cheap, but only suitable for large gaps where the seal is not compressed very much, and where the door and frame are perfectly straight and parallel.

Excellent! Better than foam or gasket for uneven gaps
I love this product and it succeeded in stopping the draught coming in around my front door, where the foam stuff failed because it doesn’t make a good seal if your door is uneven like mine which is wooden and slightly warped creating uneven gaps. It does take a bit of figuring out. But why in the name of someone beginning with J, isn’t there enough in one packet to go around a whole door?!!! It only did three sides. I’ll have to buy more. 😢 otherwise would have been 5 stars.
