Rest Assured Norham Natural Latex 2000 Mattress - King

Hi All,I hope this review will help - One thing i really struggled with is the firmness level of this mattress, its not advertised anywhere nor in the description of this mattress nor on Rest Assured website.I did extensive research online couldnt find it anywhere finally i called Rest Assured Customer service - spoke to a lady who gave me big bull i.e. their mattress dont have firmness level and that it depends on the type of base i have. If i have solid base it will feel firm if i have sprung base it will be medium and so on.Rather inconvenienced i called Amazon customer service - Advisor wanted tried to with no joy, he offered to connect my call to Rest Assured which i decline, finally i was advised that a ticket is raise someone will go to the warehouse, check the firmness and they will get back to me - guess what no one came back to me.Delivery was booked by Arrow XL (they are known for two men delivery) i called them 4 times to be assured driver will call me 30mins prior to the delivery. I went to work checking the status and suddenly in the afternoon status changed to undelivered !!!! surprised and shocked i called customer service and told them how important this mattress is for us (as we were having lower back pain and needed a new one desperately) with no joy another delivery was booked 2 days later.I took a half day off. Door bell rang and to my horror only one man delivery he dragged the carpet all the way from his van to the door. I live in 1st floor and end up lifting the mattress which clearly stated the warning heavy 45kgs. I already had bad back ended up lifting it gave me strain had difficulty to lift the mattress and walk backwards climbing the stairs, driver said he cannot lift from my side due to health and safety(i was thinking so its ok for me to lift?) asking him about two man delivery he said its not necessary that i will get two man.Ok finally i unwrap and took all my strength to lift and place the mattress on the bed and then on it was a BIG sticker stating MEDIUM...suddenly in front of my eyes everything flashed all the calls i made to amazon and rest assured and no one helped me with such a simple but rather one of the most important information.Sleeping on this mattress i will gie it a 3 stars as it suits my partner very well however for me i didnt get the exact level of pressure point relief which i experience on Silentnights Latex Pocket Spring Mattress which i tried in one of the stores (didnt buy it from their as i was quoted 21 days of delivery). Pl dont get me wrong mattress build in quality is very good, spring support is just right after few weeks of use it just getting better.Overall worth the money i spent as similar specs mattress is double the price in store

I had high hopes for this mattress having read the reviews, but its not quite as good for me although appreciate comfort is individual with things like this.The amazon experience itself was grim - said on site despatched within 5-6 working days. As soon as I ordered it changed to 14 working day, so i paid plans with work to ensure id be at home. Then a few days later it changed to despatched, meaning it was within the original date that I could take delivery on as id changed plans. Amazon CS were useless and couldnt explain why their dates keep changing like the weather, so I ended up asking the courier to hold on to it for a week which Arrow did, but Amazon could save people so much grief by doing something about their awful delivery estimates as you just cannot rely on them at all. My message to Amazon is bring your call centres back to the UK as your staff simply cannot understand your customers!Arrow XL the courier were great, aside from holding on to it for a week, they texted with a two hour slot and arround 2 mins into that slot, they took it upstairs for me without asking and had carpet protectors for their feet.The mattress - id hoped for a big improvement than my silentnight miracoil memory, but afaid its not much better.As mentioned the buttons are not good, I can feel them pressing through the felt and they wake me in the night - so do not buy this if you think thats going to cause you an issue moving around at night.The side squashes up if you sit on the edge, but the mattress itself id say is more firm than medium, but its very high compared to the silentnight which already took deep pocketed fitted sheets, the same sheets are not deep enough for this mattress.Id hoped it would be similar quality to hotel beds but its nowhere near, if i could send it back I would, only glad i didnt pay £500+ for itOnly store I can find that sells a rest assured model like this 2000 pocket latex is Archers Sleep Centre - different model name but im sure its the same mattress, although difficult to get a feeling for it in a store

I bought this to replace a mattress of similar construction (pocket sprung with memory-foam topper), which was still very comfy but just getting on a bit. Although this mattress is advertised as medium firmness it feels very soft; much softer than the one it was meant to replace, which is also labelled as "Medium" firmness. Comfort in a mattress is an individual thing but I'm not sure how they have come up with this rating - this one is really too soft for my liking. This means that you sink deep into the mattress and, despite it being pocket sprung, get too close to your partner and you'll roll together in a deep valley in the middle. Get too far apart though and you'll both roll out of bed! The edge support on this thing is virtually non-existent so you can't even sit on the edge to put socks on, etc. Another thing that has been mentioned by others is the way this mattress has been tufted. Each tuft is pulled into a massive divot that's several inches deep and you really feel these when lying on it - my wife puts her feet in them! I've no idea why they've done this, as there shouldn't be any need to pull the pillow-top down so deeply. Overall, I wish I hadn't bought this mattress. It's not the most expensive I've ever bought but wasn't cheap either and it's certainly not worth the price in my opinion. The main positive from my experience is that, having gone back to our old mattress after persevering with this one for a few weeks (the old was resigned to the spare room but we've switched them now), the old mattress feels blissful!
