Everyone enjoys relaxing on the beach, but it can be quite frustrating when you have sand particles sticking to your body after applying sun cream. It is also annoying when you have to deal with grains of sand getting in your food and all of your personal belongings. A sandless beach mat, however, will solve this common problem. How A Sandless Beach Mat Actually Works The real genius behind one of these special beach mats, which were originally developed for military use, is that they actually consist of two separate dual-weave layers. The top layer (and indeed the bottom layer) allows sand particles, dust and dirt to pass through to the other side, whilst the bottom layer helps prevent sand coming up from underneath. So any sand that happens to accumulate on the mat will quickly disappear through to the other side in an instant, creating a sand-free environment in which to relax, and if there does happen to be any large lumps of sand, you can simply rub the sand into the mat with your hand and watch it disappear. Not at all what I was expecting
I expected and actual blanket but this is really just a mesh sheet. I was expecting something that looked like a real blanket and just let the sand go through. This is honestly just like a mesh laundry basket material turned into a blanket. I was super confused when I opened it and looked at it.

Dont waste your money
Doesn't keep sand off AT ALL! Ya when u puck it up if falls thru the holes but while laying on the sand,ALL of the sand is on the mat the entire time. Way worse then just sand being blown on it or tracked onto it

Terrible
Pretty comical. It will definitely allow sand to fall through the top. That being said nothing stops the sand from coming up from the bottom either. It would be better used as a cast net of strained then a beach blanket. Used it for 2 minutes then threw it away

Not for Gulf Coast sand.
I guess it is what it says. 2 mesh netting together. Does not work with Gulf Coast sand. As soon as you sit on it comes through so it's like sitting on sand. Does not provide a barrier between you and the sand. I see a lot of reviews that they sit on towels on top of it. Kind of defeats the purpose. I do not recommend this product. You could go out and buy some heavy duty sceeen and sew it together and get the same results.

If you like the beach but hate the sand this will work for you
I like this 'blanket' but it is more like mesh-netting than a blanket. This is NOT a typical beach blanket; like said, it is more like netting than a nice blanket. We do like it though and the sand does gall through the mesh of the "blanket" nicely. I like the beach but hate sand so this is a nice product to have.

This is OK, not great but it is easy to pack up and the sand shakes out easily. You will need to put something on it such as towels - it's not something you would want to sit on by itself. The sand does fall right through but it also come up through it. Still a good beach blanket and it dries very quickly.

Works as described
It worked as described, although it isn’t that comfortable to lay on because of the texture, but what would you rather have, a towel that holds sand or a mesh like towel that isn’t that comfortable, it depends which is more important to you!

Cool
This does not block all sand but acts as an easier way to brush sand away. We loved our oversized beach towels on this and it was great for us
