Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses (PS2)

A really great concept, taking in Yu-Gi-Oh and a "chess"-like board, and combining it = Duelist of the Roses. You start with a Deck Leader (your main chess piece), and your deck consists of monsters, traps and magic - much like the real game of Yu-Gi-Oh. The way you summon these is much different however, you use "Summon Points" each turn to play your cards, and you move them around the board to attack the opponent Deck leader. It's very easy to learn.There's a lot of familiar faces in the game, such as Yugi, Seto, Joey, Pegasus; though they're named differently to work with the story of the game (which I found brilliant).One of the best games on PS2, and up there with the best of the Yu-Gi-Oh titles. A must try for any fan of the series, or if you're into strategy and cards.

Fun game, I hope there will be another Yu-Gi-Oh! game with the same gameplay style as this one. Very unique. However it is not a game, that is very funny to play, when you have finished the story line.

I sold it and bought it back, which doesn't happen often, Konami should consider remaking this, maybe change the storyline from the Tudors and work the title into another theme, gardening perhaps? Ahaa I wouldn't recommend a garden theme but as an example, all the game dynamics are sound and entertaining. I'm sure it's up there on the PS2's best-sellers wiki.

Game didn't work, the disc was not scratched, however i could tell it had been treated for scratches already so it was probably already broken before the scratches were removed.

Not very good. The duelling rules have changed in almost every way. There are no sounds except the music, and almost every time you go on it, you have to endure speeches and things.Some parts of the game are good, like choosing your side. Still, here's a warning:DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The idea for this game is unique, interesting, and pretty fun to play. Having the creatures appear virtually, and be able to move around a large board took the experience to a whole new level. It's different to duelling, but roughly the same principles apply.However, with the game being pretty short, and old, you get bored repeating battles and story lines. There's so much more they could have done with this.

Amazing service once again, couldn't be happier. Game came earlier than expected, looks spotless as advertised, and again there was a thankyou note inside. My favourite seller on amazon.
