Digital caliper are very important and essential for my work. I use it to measure gems and metal thickness. It’s super easy to use even without any instruction. You can turn the little adjuster on the top to allow the caliper to slide more smoothly.

this is an all metal construction. it slides ok, the display is visible.. it makes consistent measurements, but the accuracy is NOT 0.01mm as advertised.I would argue that the accuracy of this tool is 0.05mm. the measurements it displays differ depending on where on the jaws the measured object is held. on mine, the readings are within 0.02mm on the tip of the jaws and +0.05 in the middle or 'bottom' of the jaws. i have measured hard steel shims (precision made from 2.40mm to 2.60mm in 0.05mm increments) and the behavior is as mentioned above.measuring thinner filler gauges (such as 0.15 - 0.8 mm) the accuracy is as advertised...the jaws and tension can be adjusted a bit using two top screws.. that being said, i can't adjust them so that both the outer and inner jaws close all the way (with no visible gap).upon opening the unit, there are a lot of burrs and some metal shavings inside considering this is supposed to be a precision tool. the philips bolts that hold the electronics together were lightly abused. this is either a rejected tool that is re-branded or indeed the finishing job lets a lot to be desired.this tool would serve you very well (as it's pretty sturdy) if your measurements only require 0.1mm accuracy. 0.01mm is basically a guessing game...hope this helps, take care

I was tired of hunting down the calipers at work so bought this $20 set. They're a nice set to have on hand. Everyone who has borrowed them were impressed with the quality for the price. They have a nice weight, feel like a quality tool.

This caliper is very sturdy, great weight, ready to use and comes with extra batteries. You can slide the gage all the way off if you have to clean it. It glides easy into place and does not move while in use. Handy tool to have for using on a car and can change the measurement type to metric if needed. Very pleased!

Great product for the price. I use it at home and it works great. Very well made and easy to use. Slides back and forth easily.
