RIKKI Basic Women's Short Active Stretch Shorts

I bought these pants on a lark, fully intending to use them like tights beneath a t-shirt dress for the cooler fall temperatures, but I had no idea what a hit they'd be! I have had them only a few days and have worn them to work and to run in a 9K (I used them in a rock 'n roll costume for the race). I have to say, that for inexpensive leggings, THEY ARE THE BOMB.I got a ton of compliments from people who know me and from total strangers, and I was really surprised by that because, well, look at these pants--how often do YOU see something like this that's not in a music video? Exactly. They're unique and lots of fun for an otherwise low-key outfit.I'm 5'4", weight sways between 145-150; I usually wear 6 or 8 in jeans. On the advice of other reviewers (thanks, y'all), I ordered a size up and got the large, and I'm very glad I did. The waistband is elastic, but it's a very flat band, which means there's not a lot of stretch. The pants are very comfortable and hit right at my ankles. Like many women, I have that little extra around my hips in the front, and I thought these pants would call out that feature immediately. They didn't. I got these in red, and amazingly, that hip poonch I hate so much and can't get rid of was NOT on display like a neon sign. Whew!I love these so much that I plan to get a few more pairs. They're thick enough to wear under tunics, long shirts, and sweaters without making you look or feel bulky. Since they're not tights, they're not going to run the minute you look at them wrong. They're thick enough to provide good coverage when it's cool, and at the same time, you won't burn up in them. Trust me on that point: I work 10-12 hours a day in a warehouse, and I was never hot or uncomfortable in these.I can't rave enough about these leggings! I can't wait to buy from this seller again, too.

I always sleep in black boy shorts.So, based upon the reviews, I had no illusions about wearing these to the workout studios. My hips are 41-42 inches, so to be safe, I ordered the XL, which the size chart states will accommodate hips up to 45 inches. No way! I tried to sleep in them but they were too tight to be comfortable...when I sleep I want to be very comfortable. I don't feel like returning them so I'll wear them around the house until they stretch a bit. Amazon, please state the origin of the country where the clothing is made. This is the reason that I don't buy clothing from EBAY....most of the items are from Asian countries and the clothes are TINY.

Almost exactly what I expected. The charcoal is a pretty light charcoal, the rest of the colors seem to appear as photographed. I am typically a 6 to 8 but didn't want these super tight so ordered a large. I'm happy with the large. I definitely could fit a medium but prefer them not too clingy. I wear them under sundresses when road tripping and at the amusement park and sometimes to sleep in. Decent quality, not high end fabric or seams but great for the price, especially given when I will wear them. Fabric is a bit thin for wearing alone but I'm picky with leggings/etc so some might be fine wearing them as standalone shorts.

I read the reviews so I knew what I was getting. I wanted little shorts to wear under skirts and dresses so I felt like I had more than just underwear. They are PERFECT for that since they're so thin...but they are more like booty shorts so don't expect to be able to wear them to yoga! Actually, do whatever you want, who cares. Just know it's a thin material :)

I am 5'1" and 106 pounds. After an unfortunate "too small" order from another company, I decided to try one more time but with Rikki. I actually ordered a medium to be on the safe side and they fit perfectly. I am pretty surprised that at my size, especially being so short, that these fit so well and are NOT too long. This never happens! I would imagine ordering at least one size up would be wise.

I bought these to go under maxi-skirts for an upcoming trip to Central America.I wanted something that would stay rather cool and be long enough to help prevent chaffing on my thighs.These are exactly what I was looking for. The material is soft and breathable, and they fit under my skirts without being noticeable.I would also wear them for yoga and workouts, as the item detail suggests, however they fit more like boyshort underwear, so I wouldn't be comfortable wearing them in public.Overall, I got exactly what I needed, very pleased.

I’m 5’4” waist: 27” and hips “37. The rise and waist are perfect but the shorts length is a bit too short. More like “boy shorts”. Although super cute on the booty, they do show about an inch of my butt cheek. They’re just a bit too short for the public eye (personally). The material doesn’t have too much give but they’re also pretty true to size. I’m returning them for something a little longer.

I was expecting more of a "Walmart yoga shorts" feel to them, but they actually are made of much higher quality than I originally thought.They aren't loose, but they are more of a "fitted" fit, which is amazing! However! They are SHORT. I'm 5'4 145 with thicker thighs, the mediums were a tad tight when pulling them up, it could be because they are new, but once on they fit very nicely, and they move comfortably as well.
