Fine Grind (32 mesh), Non-GMO Korean Pepper Powder, Gochugaru. Great for kimchi seasoning, Some people love using fine grind gochugaru for kimchi because of more vibrant color. Best for making your own gochujang, Korean hot pepper paste. Great for making Korean food such as spicy Korean BBQ, spicy soup, spicy stir-fry, Korean fried chicken sauce, tteokbokki (spicy rice cake). Sprinkle on any food like pasta, pizza, tacos, soups etc. Packaged in HACCP certified facility.

The Most Complex Gochugaru -- And Non-GMO!
This manufacturer's Gochugaru red pepper powder is delicious - not unlike a slightly sharper and smokier pimento, and in equal parts more intense on the front-end and more subtly layered on the back-end. I prefer its intensity of flavor to competitors offering Gochugaru in bulk.An additional eye-popping quality is the wonderfully intense red color, making for striking visual feasts. And to be able to secure a non-GMO version at this reasonable price point warrants a tip of the cap to the manufacturer.Korean Barbecue is about to explode into our everyday American consciousness, and when it does, the fascinating Gochugaru pepper - the precursor to the miraculous Gochujang Sauce - is sure to fuel that ride. This manufacturer's offering is simply the best I've encountered; essential that it finds a space in your pepper pantheon. - (Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful". Disappointing Korean Pepper Powder
This review is for "Non-GMO Gochugaru, Kosher, Gluten Free, No additives, Korean Red Pepper Powder, Fine Grind 6 OZ" Korean Pepper Powder. The sales page claims the "heat" rating is 8000-12000 SHU, so it should be moderately hot, but it is in fact VERY mild. My Jalapeno powder is rated at 2500-3500 SHU, and my Guajillo powder is rated at 3000-4500, and each of those is substantially hotter -- dramatically hotter, but still nothing like the heat of Cayenne -- than this Gochugaru powder. That in itself is not a deal breaker for me, as adding more to a given food or sauce is not a problem, and the flavor is ok. My big disappointment is how badly it remains clumped. I have to scoop out chunks with a metal spoon and put it into a pepper mill to grind it. A plastic spoon I tried first, broke trying to get it into the powder! I've had this for over a month, and transferred it into a glass container with a few desiccant packs in it. The original plastic container is very poor quality, and has a very obvious "plastic" odor.Over the years I have tried many different types of ground pepper, as the different ones have a different flavor hue, and a different amount of heat. This is the first one I am truly disappointed with.

Nice
I bought this small container to basically test out if I wanted to buy those big bags at nearby markets. This adds thickness and flavor to whatever you add it to, and I really enjoy it. Make sure to store it in your freezer, so you can save it for a lot longer and use it whenever you need it.

Made best kimchi seasoning!
Recently I noticed new Crazy Korean Cooking product non gmo gochugaru fine grind and coarse grind and I bought them one of each. It is so convenient that they come in a bottle unlike other brand gochugaru. I mixed half fine grind and half coarse grind to make kimchi seasoning. It is the best kimchi I made ever! Also, I used fine grind for making tteokbokki and the sauce came out just like the one I ate in Korea.👍

Yes! This IS the one
So many complain about this company and how much money they make, this was an ok deal and I got it the next day. Making kimchi. American style. Deep, rich flavor and not a bad price plus, I got it the very next day. I have purchased many products that were double the price on Amazon, thanks to their generous return policy I never lose. This spice rocks, it's NOT overly hot and is a great replacement for paprika plus I didn't have to go anywhere to get it. That makes it a double win in my book. By the way, this was double the price on a few other sites.

Works with just about everything
Gochugaru pepper is a relatively mild chili powder that has a great chile flavor without overpowering heat. I use it anytime I need something a step down from chili arbol or cayenne or two steps down from chili pequin. It is not smoky like chipotle or smoked paprika, but not sweet either. A very nice addition to the spice rack. I add it to sauerkraut to make something that approximates kimchi but use it for sausages or as a side dish with meatloaf.

Good flavor
I buy my kimchi premade from the closest asian market but they don't make their Napa kimchi with much heat at all. It's tastes like garlic kimchi. I don't know why they do that. So I buy a huge jar of it and add about a third of this bottle to it to make it perfect. Great flavor.
