Gamers serious hobby
Well, I have had this chair for a year and a half. I’m 195 pounds, 5’10 or 70 Inches. The chair was awesome for 6-7 months. The mesh back keeps me cool. I spend at least 4-6 hours in it a day. On the weekends 8++ hours if I’m not at the gym. After 6-7 months the leather starting peeling and the cushion has smashed down enough that I can’t sit comfortably. Now I’m buying a new chair because it’s somewhat unbearable and looks really trashy. I don’t wear anything but sweats in it, so the peeling isn’t from wear and tear.Pros: keeps you cool, looks awesome, maybe it’s gotten better?Cons: squeaks loud, material peels even if you only wear sweats or shorts, cushion fades away out of existence (even if you do legs)Not for serious gamers. The arms are now falling apart as well.I try not to be a whiner about small things but I cannot sit in it for long hours anymore either.

Good chair for the money
I’m giving this chair 5 stars for now because it exceeded my expectations.- I was looking for a chair built for long sitting sessions that wasn’t crazy expensive, and with the Cyber Monday deal it was a good buy.- Assembly was not difficult at all, my chair fits together perfectly and though there aren’t written instructions, what is provided is sufficient to know how to put it together, genuinely don’t know why other people were complaining about assembly.- The chair itself is very modern looking and quite attractive, it’s large and seems sturdy. I played Xbox for hours without feeling the need to get up or readjust, very comfortable. The mesh back keeps your back cool and the lumbar pillow adds some nice support and cushioning, though the neck pillow gets in the way for me. Altogether this chair is well worth the money and I don’t think it deserves the bad reviews it’s received. I will be revisiting this product in the future and may change how many stars it recieves if it doesn’t hold up, but it seems like it will and is very comfortable. If you’re thinking about buying a gaming chair look no further.

Super comfy!
Really comfortable chair, assembly wasn't too difficult.Butt gets sweaty easily though since it's a leather base, but the mesh back is fantastic. Shirt does sometimes get caught between the little plastic cutouts & the mesh on the back, but not enough to cause any tears or damage.Wish the arm rests were a little more comfortable / moveable forward and back, they're just solid plastic that can be raised and lowered. Very basic compared to the luxury feel of the rest of the chair.UPDATE: Jan 2022chair no longer holds height adjustment, drops to minimum height after ~5min. Highly recommend not buying if you want a chair that lasts more than a couple years.

No one actually NEEDS a gaming chair , but they sure are fun to have
Seat pan is a bit long. I’m 6’2” and my legs even have trouble when I sit fully in the chair with my back to rest. The overall build quality seems questionable after a few months. Lots of creaks and groans but arm rests are stable and the piston is holding strong. Over all very pleased still ( I bought used from amazon seller for 85$ My opinions may be biased )

Good chair, not perfect.
I agree with the other review. Construction is a nightmare. Some of the screw holes aren't cut perfectly, and it's quite the hassle to get them to fit. The backplate thing that hides some screws in the back of the chair doesn't fit perfectly either, and there's always one clip that doesn't fit in.These cons don't really matter though - they don't affect the comfort of the chair. And I gotta say, it's _really_ comfortable. Definitely worth it.I only use the bottom lumbar pillow.Looks great too.

Great chair
Usually when I get a chair, I'll get one with the arm rest connected to the seat. The chair will usually bend or the arm rest usually falls off after a few months. The respawn 205 is a great chair. The mesh on the back keeps your back cool and arm rest is quite sturdy. Highly recommend if your a big guy. I'm 6'3 265 lbs.

Enjoy this chair. It is a little "hard" but still comfortable. Great chair for the price.
