FlagPole Buddy 106105 Mount

There are many ways to attach a pole to your RV ladder, some cheap, some not. This is one of the not cheap options, but it's also one of the easiest to use. I use two. One for a Starlink support pole (2") and this one (1.5") to mount a weather station using 1" PVC (it's 1.33" total diameter). Both work great, are easy to use, and do a great job of supporting the pole plus the weight. Given that these are designed to support the weight of a flag in the wind, though, there's probably plenty of capacity left!

First, I am not using this for a flag pole. I am using it to support an antenna mast. I saw another camper using it for his antenna, so I tried it myself and though I just got it installed, I am very pleased. putting the mast up and taking it back down is very easy to do without having to climb the ladder.One slight negative was one of the clamps was missing a bolt and piece of velcro. It turned into a positive when I called their customer support. The woman on the phone was cheerful, and said they would send one out that day because "your satisfaction is what we care about". Well, they not only sent it that day, but they sent it 2nd day air via FedEx. I was very impressed. I would definitely do business with them again.

Works very well to position one of the fiberglass flagpole buddy poles. I have a 20' pole, that I actually only put up about 12 - 16' now using this. I used to use a hitch mounted pole base, which required undoing the bikes or whatever else I was already utilizing the hitch for. With this, it's far enough out of the way that you can still climb the ladder easily.Only drawbacks were how the vinyl lock nuts are retained, which make it a little difficult to get it initially setup to fasten down and retain it to your ladder. Would also be nice if it could be rotated somehow to mount on either side of your ladder, this specifically needs to mount to the left side of a ladder, which it also calls out in the instructions. The left side is necessary to position the flagpole and lift/set it into the bottom retainer. If you use it on the right side, you won't be able to (or at least my flagpole won't accommodate) slide it into position unless your ladder is a good foot away from the body of your trailer. Very cool though, makes setup a snap now!

I really tried to search for another set up, better price, maybe makeshift my own but kept coming back to this item. It has the flexibility, stability, ease of install that I wanted. Looks great too! Very sturdy construction, so sturdy I’m planning on installing a cell signal booster at the top of the flag pole. This bracket system will no doubt secure the load, even in windy conditions. Flexibility of hex bolts allowed me to loosen and turn system inwards on ladder to accommodate my winter cover.

This was easy to install but has not been used yet, is to hold a PVC pipe which is holding our WiFi range extender for the RV.

This item will not fit the OE ladder on my Lance 1685 and therfore have no choice but to rate it as 2 Star and return it.
