Beef chorizo
This is the real Mexican beef chorizo - hard to find on the East Coast!

Gristle and grease, not sure if there's any meat in it
This is the greasiest chirozo I have ever bought. Really nasty, the fat congeals quickly. Eating it is not a good experience either since you'll be spitting out pieces of rubbery gristle. I have to wonder how much actual meat is in a pound of this crap. Do yourself a big favor and buy anything else!

Chorizo for those trying to gain weight like cancer patients
Your not eating Beef in Beef Chorizo and your not eating Pork in Pork Chorizo - they are flavored with spices to taste like beef or pork. Your eating lymph nodes, internal organs from the PIG. High calories, energy dense food, protein and fattening if you eat it everyday. Just what a cancer patient needs.

Nasty stuff
I've tried more than a few times to give this a try. It is aways the same situation, a little bit of ground up offal, bubbling in a pool of chili stained fat that won't ever cook down. The label says its beef chorizo, yet the first ingredient is pork which is comprised of (salivary glands, lymph nodes and cheek fat) No mention of beef on the ingredient list.
