In all my candle burning I learned that dipping the wick was a much better option than dealing with the smoke when blowing it out or even snuffing it. I ended up using my wick trimmer to dip the wick untiL i realized that they make wick dipper's specifically for that purpose. There are not a lot of options on Amazon.com so I went with this one that was available and didnt have any weird designs like a buddha. This product is very lightweight and a lot thinner than I expected. Does it do it's job of dipping the wick? Yes, so the other details don't bother me. It has a little "foot" on the end that you can use to push down the wick into the wax and then life the wick back up. If your'e someone who burns candles a lot like me and likes to dip the wick, this makes it much easier than trying to find something else to do it with. Recommended!!

I love this product because I can push the wick into the melted wax and it puts out the candle instantly without the candle smoking and then having to smell smoke in the house instead of the candle scent.

I got this because I was having some candle issues and the smoke that comes when blowing them out. This does the job, I wish they had other designs but this works. It's nice and sturdy and more importantly, no more smoke after I extinguish the flame from my candle. I'm pretty happy with it.

I love these wick dippers. I had no idea that what a wick dipper was before stumbling across this item. Candles can be extinguished without creating smoke, and I like the Fleur De Lis design. I purchased 1 to try... and then 3 more so I can have one in each room with a candle.
