I bought one of these pillows for myself a few months ago, my husband (He who swore by his memory foam pillow) had a sore neck and 'borrowed' my pillow then didnt want to give it back, hence ordering another one!I bought my original cervical pillow because i've had lumber spine surgery and then similar disc problems started on my cervical spine.After years of spending a fortune on all different types of pillows desperate for a comfortable pain-free sleep, I stumbled across this one on Amazon.IT IS FANTASTIC!!!The slight depression in this pillow to support head & neck in correct alignment can take a little getting used to, to be honest it felt like an abnormal positioning of my head & neck at first but the sides of the pillow are really soft and comfortable so for the first 2 nights I drifted off on the side but woke up with my head correctly positioned in the middle.I now get a great nights sleep, I dont wake up with Neck, Back & Shoulder pain and I have much better range of movement in my neck during the day now! Every day I used to have pins & needles right down to my finger tips, this has also reduced (I certainly dont wake up with it).Infact the worst nights sleep ive had in a long time was the night hubby pinched my pillow, but I cant complain too much because it also helped his neck but most important.. he hardly snored (Big Bonus)!My husband said I should also add that the pillow is really cool; as in, not hot & sweaty and actually that is true, I'm not sure if thats because of the 'HiSoft' polyester OR because neither of us are tossing & turning trying to get our necks comfy...It fits into your average pillow case so no added extras to buy either.(By the way, we fall into the 40-45 years age bracket) I always wonder about age groups when im reading Reviews :)

This pillow really helped my partner sleep more comfortably, which is really the best thing you could say about a pillow for people who suffer from neck pain. However, it completely wrecked my slumber by turning a man who has never snored into something that sounded like a colliery brass brand breaking the sound barrier. It was incredible - he was enjoying his best night's sleep for months whilst I was red-eyed and murderous. Take away the pillow, silence. Reinstate the pillow - deafening snorts, choking sounds and tractor-engine impersonations. I'm sure that it must be something to do with how the pillow supports the neck and opens the airways - I'm guessing. But there are pains in the neck and then there's me on a few weeks of no sleep - he chose wisely!If you live alone and have a bad neck, this will help you sleep. If you don't live alone...but would quite like to...this is the pillow for you!

I liked this product because i was told it was very good for supporting your neck and stops neck pain that you get in the morning.Unfortunately i have a slipped C6 disc, its very supportive with that but if i have lay on it too long, the firmness make my neck stiff so i have to change to a soft pillow, i dont think anything is going to help other than surgery.But very good for people who have muscle pain in the neck or strains and it does help a bit.. its a nice size and its light, you can take it away with you if your are going on holiday

Don't often write reviews. The product has to be something special to warrant a comment. This pillow was a desperate attempt to alleviate a painful stiff neck following a bad fall off a ladder a couple of months ago. What a difference it has made. I thought at first it was going to be uncomfortable as it felt quite hard and I wasn't sure how the dent in the middle would work. But after a few minutes of settling I had relaxed and had the first real nights unbroken sleep in ages. After only two nights the difference is unbelievable. The tension in my neck and shoulders is almost entirely gone allowing me to get through a physical day at work without needing voltarol and a heat pack. I would not have believed that a pillow could make such a huge reduction in neck pain and stiffness. It cleverly works for both back and side sleeping positions and holds your neck in the correct position whilst at the same time being comfortable allowing you to relax and gain a nights sleep. I would recommend this to anyone with a neck issue. It also arrived the next day which was remarkable. I would award 10 out of 10 for the entire experience. Well done all round.

I sit 10 hours a day at a pc (work in IT) and at least once a year have terrible neck and shoulder tension and end up seeing an osteopath. I also have a lifelong problem with what is probably a congenital problem with my neck in that I can't sleep with a pillow as angling my head up causes me to grind my teeth and triggers migraines.I had thought about buying a cervical roll as I sometimes resort to rolled up towels but thought this might work better (will have to buy a roll now, anyway). When I turn on my side the optimum position for my neck is with my head slightly raised but, on my back, I need my head flat and neck supported. So this looked like it would be exactly what I wanted.Unlike other people writing reviews here my problem is that my head (although normal size) doesn't "fit" in the hole. The crown of my head is kind of up on the top padded side and so, during the night, I try and move to have my head flat and kept waking up with my cheek on the bottom padded side - where I'd clearly been trying to get my head flat. For me the design would work better if the padding was only on 3 sides as after more than a week I've yet to wake up with the padding tucked under my neck.I think I'll try it one more night and will then have to give it to the dog as I'm waking up with tension headaches....
