GOOBAT Mini Betta Heater for Aquariums, Submersible Heater for Betta Tanks Up to 10 Gallons

At first the water temperature in my 3 gallon tank was drastically going up and down, topping at 75 degrees, but still cool to the touch. Then after doing some research (because I didn’t want to deal with returning it if I didn’t have to) I found that if you put the heater under or near the water filter/ air pump it will keep the tank warmer. I did that and now the tank is warmer.

I got this for my betta fish, Dingus. I got Dingus from Meijer on impulse... he just stood out and I fell in love. So, knowing nothing about betta fish I took him home, put him in a 1 gal tank and fed him cheapo fish flakes. He kinda just hung out in the back for a day and I got worried. Did some extensive fish research and decided I'm a TERRIBLE mother. So I decided to upgrade.Little Dingus is so much happier with this heater. Keeps the tank at a perfect, consistent temp. He was also hardly eating and I got him the Hikari pellet food which he also loves! Now he's begging for food and swimming around like crazy! He follows my finger when I touch the glass and says hello when I sit by him. I also plan on getting him a 3 gal tank, some moss balls and a leaf hammock to rest on.Anyway, this heater works and I recommend it to anyone trying to improve their fish's life :)

Good thing I decided to install a thermometer to keep track of water temp. If I don't unplug it, this heater will just keep going. Caught it at 85 degrees at one point! My betta turned pale and was lethargic. I very well may have a defective device but I can't find a customer service contact or website for this company or anything. Buy at your own risk!!

We use this 15w GOOBAT Betta Heater in a .7gal tank I bought at Wal-Mart. Our house heat is set between 60 at night and 68 in the evening so the water temp without this heater is only about 65 degrees. This heater works perfect, right around 78, and the little guy is eating and acting normal again.

I bought this for my 3 gallon aquarium, I was a little hesitant because it's for 10 gallons and my aquarium is plastic, but it works great, my apartment is very cold and I live in Colorado so needless to say my apartment gets very chilly as I'm not one to turn the heater on unless it's below 50 degrees. My Baby Betta and Mystery Snail are living the warm life in their little retreat and both seem very happy, I was worried about my snail getting too warm if it crawled on the heater but I've had this for a little over a month and no issues so far, I will update my review if needed but so far, so good, we are a happy little family.

Unfortunately I can’t give zero stars. This thing creates extremely inconsistent water temperatures. It says it automatically tops off at 75 and shuts off, but turns back on when it goes under. This just isn’t true. Sometimes I see that it’s on, so i feel the water and it feels ~80°. Other times, when I notice it’s off, the tank is freezing cold. I also have to jiggle the plug around in the outlet to make it go on if i notice it’s not going on when it’s cold. Cheap way out of trying to keep your fish happy and healthy. Go for something a little nicer.

It only heats my 2.5 gallon aquarium to 74 degrees Fahrenheit, but that's okay for me since I'm using it in an only plant aquarium. I WOULD NOT USE IT FOR FISH. Battas should have water temp around 78. The top lights up when it is heating your aquarium and turns off when it's reached 74 degrees farenheight.

I like the size and shape of this heater. No fuss, just put it under the water, suction to the wall and plug it in.
