This works. It is loud, but could be louder. You don't need batteries for it, but if you want it backed up then you need batteries for power outages. It works with Google and IFTTT. It was easy to set up. The back twists if you want to put batteries in it. It comes with a USB cable, but no USB plug. I set it up with Wyze door sensors and it works flawlessly. You can use the Smart Life app so it will only come on at times you want it to.

Purchased 2 devices. Both work with external power/plug, but only 1 device works w/batteries. The batteries are not type that most stores carry-Cr123A. App is not intuitive. Can be connected to Alexa or Google Assistant. Loudness is sufficient-used to wake teen son up if he ignores his own alarms. Can choose from 10 different sounds. Can also set it like an alarm. Widgets make it easy to turn on siren, but unable to turn off siren from widget.

Cannot open the back to add the batteries that do not come with the package. The app you need to have this work requires information and you need to agree before you can use it.
