Love it!
After reading many reviews on tea kettles, I settled on this one and have no regrets. The bottom is heavy and solid; the handle is able to move from side to side if you desire, yet I have never had it slip to the side while holding it; the whistle is very loud (a bit on the shrill side when at its peak) and it looks very nice.I use the largest burner on my induction stove top to heat the water and have not had the handle become warm at all (make sure the handles is upright). I have had it for just a over a month and have not experienced any leaks or rust per many other teak kettle reviews. Another reviewer helpfully mentioned the hot water flicking off the pour spout when you open the spout to pour; they were right, this does happen, but it is only a drop of water and a very minor issue and it would not keep me from buying this kettle again.UPDATE: August 2020:I still absolutely love this tea kettle, not a single complaint. I now have a gas stove and the handle can get warm if the flame is turned up too high and burning on the outer edges of the kettle. Just turn the flame down a bit and you will have no problem! A great tea kettle, would buy again in a heartbeat!

Attractive design & very functional
After far too many years, decided to treat myself to a new tea kettle for my birthday. I chose this one because of the way it looks and its color (deep red is my favorite). So far, I am extremely happy with it. The color is gorgeous, the kettle design is very attractive and it works very well. I have had no issues with the handle being hot...I just keep it upright while the water is heating and it is cool to the touch. The whistle works well without being ear shatteringly annoying. And I like that the spout cover is stays open until you close it (my old kettle had a spout cover that snapped shut unless held open). All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. I can't speak to long term durability, as I haven't had it long. Hopefully it will last 30 years like my last kettle did.

Works well doesn't spill anything
After reading reviews of this pot I was hesitant to get it but I’m glad I did.It does not pour out wrong or spill all over the place. I think that is happening for people who over fill it and over boil.No matter how good the pot of you don’t let the water cool a couple of minutes after a hard boil, it will spurt out. It’s simply physics. That said, this pot is very well made, cleans easily and is good looking. I don’t know what the person is doing that is having issues with the handle either, I have had mine for over a month and never had to use a pot holder. The only draw back is that if you leave the spout cover on, it is hard to flip it up without burning yourself.I personally don’t like to boil my water to the point where the whistling feature works but I checked and it works well, I just don’t like that really hard boil. It’s not necessary for heat, it can become a mess quite easily and I can hear the pot boil before that.

Great so Far, Many Ideal Features!
I just got this, but I am impressed with how it made. Fewer parts to break or be heat damaged. Base is solid. Strong whistle for me to hear in other parts of my house. Opening large enough for me to reach into to wash out. Technically one hand use after opening pouring spouts that stays open for pouring until you close it with a silicone covered lever. Looks great on my stove. Before buying this kettle, I had returned two others, almost immediately; one because the handle to the lid came off after a couple of uses and the other because it came to me with a plastic piece of the kettle laying in the box. The QuCrow kettle is made in a way not to have those potential failures. I will update later after I have had it a while if an issue comes up.

Beautiful Teapot
I have never owned a teapot before, but this one is wonderful and works like a charm. I got this one in red and it looks beautiful on the stove at all times. Easy to use and works great.

Such a beautiful addition to my new kitchen.
We are building our forever home and I wanted to get everything new for my kitchen. I saw this tea kettle and loved it. Once it arrived, I found it to be absolutely beautiful. The color is a rich red (not fire engine) and it is very sturdily built. It has a rubber hand grib on the handle which really makes me feel much safer taking the kettle off the stove. I thought the cover for the spout was broken because it didn't whistle the first time I used it. It's not broken. It is secure. You need to take your finger and press it shut once you fill the kettle. After you do this - the whistle can be heard in other parts of the house so I don't forget I have boiling water on the stove. The finish on this is so complete all you need is a damp cloth to clean it.

Pretty design with a design flaw
The tea kettle design is pretty and the whistle is loud enough. When I opened the box, I was delighted. However, after the tea kettle whistled, I did not know how to stop the whistle!!! There is no mechanism to open the tip of the tea kettle!! I had to touch the scorching hot spout with my finger to open it! If you are willing to BURN your fingers and hand, know yourself out!!

Perfect!
After researching an excessive amount of tea kettles I finally ordered this one and LOVE it. Very helpful that the handle can move to the side and no issues with the heat to pour. You should use a pot holder or kitchen towel to open the spout before pouring. The whistle gets LOUD which is exactly why I bought a tea kettle instead of using a saucepan to boil water for tea. Would recommend!!

Works as advertised
We have been using this kettle for several months now on an induction cooktop and have not had any problems with the handle or spout cover getting hot after boiling. However, we did use it on a gas cooker during a power outage and the handle got hot. On the induction cooktop the kettle has worked as advertised and we couldn't be happier.
