They aren't hiding that these are coated screws, but the coating was a little thick. While this might sound great, it actually caused a little issue trying to attach my license plate. With the excess coating, the screwdriver didn't quite fit properly and it already removed coating while tightening. Also one of the washers showed up chipped.Overall, I'm pleased and the screws and washers worked great. No doubts that my black license plate is securely fastened to my bumper!Time will tell if they start to rust.

Well, these are Nice, However One of the Special Washer type / Trim Piece's ( That Really Makes This Look Really Nice) and a Beautiful Finish when Installed, was "CHIPPED" right out of the Package? I colored it in with a Black Sharpie and put that one on the Top so as to Hide it from View. It Looks "OK", but for the Money and the Hassle of Returning the Item, I just went with my Silly Sharpie Fix and Chalked it up another Experience! They do Look really Nice Installed, However, I would have thought the Shipping would have been better? They are Packaged in a Plastic Baggie all together loosely and Bang around together in Shipment which is where I think the Chipping happened?Not sure I'll buy any more and just got with the Screw's themselves Next Time. BUMMER, I like the Finished Look!!!

These screws will not fit the license plate mounting holes for US vehicles. The diameter of the screws is larger than the mounting holes and would not work. The overall quality of the steel is also very bad. Most likely cheap metal from China is used for these screws. They easily strip when putting just an average level of force using a regular Philips screw driver. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Looked far and wide for stainless steel screws to secure my license plate to frame/car. These actually come in two pieces; a collar, and the screw itself. Installation was a breeze and plate is rock-solid attached.(UPDATED REVIEW - March 2020)Purchased a set of these based upon the sellers claim of their being manufactured of stainless steel. Less than a year later, collars that shipped with the screws are beginning to rust. NOT as advertised.

These are what to use with your car tags when you want something that looks better than standard silvery stainless steel, screws. The 8 black Philips-head screws in this kit are overpriced, but they do include Prime shipping and return, so I may be too critical on that specific point. If you need security screws for your area to prevent tag theft from your car, these are not the right mounting screws for you. Check other (security) screw set listings for several types available at Amazon.

For those of you with dark colored autos, these are flat matt and don't call attention to how your license plate is attached, but they work well and the collar around the screw holds the plate securely.

Durable. Have had these on my vehicle for over a year and they still look the same as the day they were purchased. (Live in PA, where we get snow. Been through road salt/chem)

These are advertised as license plate screws but they are WOOD screws, not machine screws. So they don’t work in the holes drilled to accept the correct screws.
