What is OBD? On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems are in most vehicles on the road today. During the '70s and early 80's manufacturers started using electronic means to control engine functions and diagnose engine problems. This was primarily to meet US EPA emission standards. Does my car have OBD-II? All vehicles built since January 1, 1996 have OBD-II systems. Manufacturers started incorporating OBD-II in various models as early as 1994. Please check your vehicle’s manual for compatibility. Purpose of OBD-II output? OBD-II signals are most often sought in response to a "Check Engine Light" in a vehicle. The data provided shows failed component, saving time and cost. Creta OBDII Scanner Features: 1.Read diagnostic trouble codes, both generic and manufacturer-specific, and display their meaning (over 3000 generic code definitions in the database). 2.Clear trouble codes and turn off the MIL ("Check Engine" light). Display live sensor data, including: 1.Engine RPM. 2.Calculated Load Value. 3.Coolant Temperature. 4.Fuel System Status. 5.Vehicle Speed. 6.Short Term Fuel Trim. 7.Long Term Fuel Trim. 8.Intake Manifold Pressure. 9.Timing Advance. 10. Intake Air Temperature. 11.Air Flow Rate. 12.Absolute Throttle Position. 13.Oxygen sensor voltages/associated short term fuel trims. 14. Fuel System status. 15.Fuel Pressure. Note:Your vehicle may not support all above parameters. How many parameters you can get is depended on the vehicle manufacturer's implementation.

My review after a week of playing with it.
I am giving this a 3 star review. The only reason for this is because the seller is completely awesome to deal with. They are very kind, and willing to help with any issues you may have. The adapter is very glitchy. What I mean is, it connects fine, but the refresh rate of the data is annoyingly slow and inaccurate. 1 second it reads the idle at 730 RPM, and the next will say it's 2200 RPM and then drop back down, then back to 5000 RPM, even without touching the throttle. It works for reading and clearing codes, but only if the codes are active. It wont let you scan the system for freeze-frame data, well, it will, but it will not find anything, even if there is. Now: The problems I have with it may not be the products fault. It apparently was designed to work with the Torque app,and Dash Command, which I don't use, but I was using it with the Windows program ScanXL, and PCMSCAN from Palmer Performance. I am not used to using these programs. On my Ford Explorer, I use Forscan and T.O.A.D. because Forscan is designed to be used with Ford, and I use T.O.A.D. for everything else. Neither one of those programs will work with the Creta OBD2, because of the cheap chipset used in making the product. You also can not use it to flash your ECM, Will not work with engine programmers and flashers, I have a different system for that. I have many different systems that I use, some for programming, flashing, and tuning. This one is by far the cheapest, and it shows. It works fine if all you want to do is find out why your CEL/MIL is on, and clear the code, but for anything else, it's just like a visually sweet looking Actron from the local parts house. WILL NOT WORK WITH ABS, TRAC CONTROL, or AIRBAG SYSTEMS.

This is the second device of this kind I purchased. This one actually works. I was able to connect to my Amazon fire tablet (check your model as not all tablets have Bluetooth). The extension cable is a real plus since Bluetooth range is limited. The seller emailed links to software that was actually usable (torque pro - an older version but still the best value against most others out there). I had to side load the app after downloading it but it was well worth the few extra minutes to do over other inferior apps that require in-app purchase (though advertised as free) to do anything useful - like clear codes or record live data).

CRETA OBD2 and Torque App
The OBD2 device worked as described for my vehicle. Setup was simple and the Torque app worked with the device better than anticipated.

Is the very best as far as standing behind their products
Premium Seller Co. Is the very best as far as standing behind their products. I had a problem where it would not pair up to my Bluetooth so all I did was call them. In a half hour their was a gentleman that went by the name of Ram. He said I will take care of this right away. He said I will email you all that you will need to take care of this problem. Two minutes I had a email that told me what to do and in 10 minutes I was done and the OBDII was up and working on my car. Thanks so much to the people at PREMIUM SELLER CO. and to Ram.

Works Great!
Got this to diagnose my 2000 Civic Check Engine Light. I was initially worried, since I could not download the app from the instructions the product came with. I was relieved to find out that just about any App of this nature will work with the unit. I found an app that had the ability to clear out the error message easily and rapidly. It took me less time than it took to write this review! Definitely worth the price!
