I am really impressed by this simple item. I bought it for an extra layer of protection for both the lens and the protective iris mechanism that covers the lens when the camera is turned off. I understand that the protective iris is pretty easily damaged, and for $20, this seemed like good insurance. It is an excellent fit, weighs nearly nothing, and attached very well with a 3M adhesive. The lens cap fits very well, with a friction fit. I don't know how well it'll hold up, but for now, it performs perfectly. The UV lens protector is thin, lightweight, and looks perfectly clear to my eye. If this continues to perform as it does now, I'll be very pleased. One negative is that there are no install instruction, however it's pretty straightforward. Thus far, it seems just great.

Very pleased. Bought two to hold all of my filters. My set of ND filters are in plastic cases that fit in the pockets easily, so an extra layer of protection and since those cases are labled, I will still know which filter is which. My faders and CPL filters were in cases that could have fit, but too tight a squeeze to suit me, so I just put them in as is.I love the trifold style of these cases. Will make packing in a suitcase easy as they'll fit anywhere that has a bit of space, and the filters seem to be nicely protected and padded in these cases.The cleaning cloths are a nice bonus.I didn't want to spend a lot of money on filter cases just because they have some "expensive" name on them. In fact, I'd rather not have any sort of camera gear bags making it obvious as to what they are, so I'm really pleased with these, and the price is great.

This is a good choice if one is looking for a clear protector for the front metal protector blades and the lens, but it doesn't offer the ability to change filters. I ended up getting a LensMate adapter system so I could change the filters. I lost the protection for the front blades, so I also got a semi-hard case for the camera.

Adds to the vintage look of my silver and black Canon GX7 mkIII. It fell off a spotting scope one day, shattering the built in lens protector, so I keep this on the camera all the time. It's the right size that you can then add the magnetic lens ring for a magnetic filter, but haven't tested that and don't know if the lens cap would fit over the ring or not.

I was hoping this would allow the attachment of other filters, but it does not. Digital cameras have no use for a UV filter. This filter does enhance flares that ruin photos.It does fit the Lumix ZS200 without vignetting.

Excellent product and priced right. Its glass, mount is thin but solid, appears clear, good machining, good anodized finish, if there are any coatings they are not detectable with the naked eye.Its not Leica grade. For those who want that, multiply $18.95 by 10 and keep looking.

I gave five stars because of quality and value of product for price paid. The price paid was two to three dollars less that others that were available for purchase. The filter cases are well constructed and have Velcro closures. The filters are well protected in this case and will hold square and round filters in addition to the round lens adapters. I bought three of these and am very pleased. I also commend the Seller for quick handling and shipping. My order arrived one day before the promise date.

Works well on my Canon g7 x mark III. Covers just the lens part which I need to protect it.
