This is a fun crafting idea for kids of the right age, but that might be a tricky age -- too young and it's hard to craft something so small, but too old and this isn't an interesting project. I'm not exactly sure what age is right for this. The product listing suggests like 5 or 6 I guess, but I'd say 8 or 9 is probably the sweet spot for this toy.They are fun and not too hard to set up, and the adhesive does seem to work pretty well, that was my only concern going into it. Overall, good fun for adults too, to make along side the kids or perhaps just to make and give away to some kids as gifts.And the price is a good value.

If you plan to do this with little kids (probably 2nd-3rd grade or younger) they will need a lot of help.1. You attach the pieces using glue dots. There isn’t adhesive on the back of the felt pieces like I was hoping. The glue dots are all one size and too large for many of the felt pieces and google eyes. Also even I had trouble getting them to stick to the felt instead of me, or the table, or my sleeve, etc.2. The felt pieces are difficult to rip out of the felt sheet. I’d recommend using scissors, as tearing them out left “strings” of felt like you can see on the ears. Plus I had to pull pretty hard to get the piece to come off.3. Many of the finger puppet bases have tails on the back, locking you into creating a specific animal if your kid is a stickler for that kind of stuff like mine is. For example, the punk one has a curly tail so she felt like she had to make a pig. I would’ve preferred if they left the tails off.If you’re going to do this with as group of kids (class, scout troop, day care, etc) I’d recommend cutting the pieces out ahead of time and getting a different glue or adhesive. Or even just smaller glue dots and putting them on the back of pieces before hand.

My daughter really liked these. They are easy to do, and she thought they were cute. She did get bored pretty quickly, but unless it is something that requires a lot of skill, she often gets bored easily. I also think that these are probably too simplistic for her as she has been making her own creations for a couple years, and she has been sewing for a few months. I think for someone a little younger (she's 8), these would be great. They are an easy project. They do fall apart pretty easily - the adhesive isn't great. So I wouldn't count on them lasting past one or two play sessions, but for a bored buster and quick puppet show, they will work. They come just in a plain plastic bag, which is unfortunate given that there are so many little pieces, and you can't really reseal it. I put them in a plastic bag, but having a pouch or something would have been nice. Overall, I think kids could have a bit of fun with this.

Bad glue, stuck to everything but the project. No examples to work from. Ugh.

my kids class of 9 and 10 year olds are doing crafts during their Halloween fun time ... and what kid, of any age, doesn't love a finger puppet. I think you can get pretty crazy and silly with them, or just follow the rules ... 20 for this price also seems like a great deal. you will need glue that works on felt like material though so take note. All in all, a pretty good get if looking for a craft/art experience that wont take that long, is a notch above toddler stuff, and kids can play with after or together.

These are cute. But almost impossible to put together. The glue dots are so tiny and hard to peel and thr facial pieces do not come off the sheet without tearing. Dissapointing

Got these for my Niece who loves this kind of craft gift. She really liked it, but the glue did not hold well and had to use her own glue to really hold things together. There is a fine balance when using glue with a kids craft project like this, but it really needs to be better than what is provided. That being said, if you have your own craft glue already, this is still a good gift.

I think these finger puppets can not only be used for pretend play but also for sensory stimulus for those on the spectrum or even as a fine and gross motor skill activity.I deducted a star because the sticky rounds that are included to attach the parts to create the animal is not the correct one for the material since once touches the fabric it looses the grip power, so is a 1 time use (the glue) but you can buy better sticky glue to use since the product itself is good.
