The best helper to get Tom Kha Gai just right!
Ever since my husband lived and worked in Thailand a long time ago, we are hooked to eating Tom Kha Gai soup, whether it is at a Thai restaurant or at home. We usually make the soup from scratch with all the needed and available ingredients and seasonings. Since we moved away from DC to a rural area up north, I don't have an Asian grocery market anywhere near, so I order online what I can't find in supermarkets. This Tom Kha Gai paste has made all the difference! Now we do not need to keep all the various seasoning handy, we have found the perfect way to make Tom Kha Gai at home with less effort but great results. The taste, the scent, the overall outcome when using this product is phenomenal. Tweaking is easy either with more or less paste or however one wants to make little changes. For 2 people, we get several dishes out of one tub, so the value for the money is fantastic. We recently traveled to see family in Texas and took 2 tubs with us, so we could cook Tom Kha Gai for everyone and show them how great this product is and how easy it is to use. Perfect!!! Highly recommended.

Tastes like Thailand
This stuff is delicious. It makes Tom Kha Gha soup soooo easy to make! I'm not much of a chef, but I can whip this up and impress friends and family. I needed to decrease the spice level a little so I used a bit less paste than called for and substituted chicken bouillon for a bit of the liquid. I like mine with chicken, mushrooms, and bamboo sprouts, but you can really add whatever you like. Will be ordering another container soon!

Best version of Tom Kha I have had!!!
This is the best version of Tom kha I have ever had. (I have even attempted from scratch)I love Tom Kha and order it at every Thai restaurant I go to.I simplified the recipe and did 2 cups water, 1 can of coconut milk and 3 TBSP of this product with any protein if your liking. I do not add sugar. YUM. This is my new addiction!

Keep this in your kitchen as a staple
This Tom Kha paste is absolutely incredible! It makes whipping up a rich, authentic, and flavorful Tom Kha soup so easy. The balance of creamy coconut, tangy lime, and fragrant spices is perfect—better than some restaurant versions I’ve had. What really sets this paste apart is the quality of the ingredients. The list is solid and straightforward, with no fillers or sketchy chemicals. It feels good knowing I’m using something that’s both delicious and clean. It’s also super versatile—I’ve used it for traditional Tom Kha soup, as a base for curries, and even to marinate chicken. It always delivers outstanding flavor. If you’re looking for a convenient way to bring authentic Thai flavors to your kitchen, this paste is a must-have.

Great for quick, flavorful soups!
Aroy-D Tom Kha Paste offers an authentic Thai coconut soup base with rich lemongrass and galangal flavors. It makes cooking easy—just add coconut milk and protein. The taste is well-balanced but slightly salty, so adjusting seasoning is recommended.

Tastes Amazing, Painful
This is exactly the flavor I look for in tom kha, mild and just like the restaurants. Also easy to use and keeps for a very long time in the fridge, even after opening (just beware the messy oily bag). My only issue is I end up with a bunch of tough little fibers stuck in my gums like splinters -- it somehow makes my teeth feel sore and my gums feel poked/irritated. It doesn't happen to my husband and, looking at other reviews, it seems I'm the only one with this problem. 🥲 All that aside, highly recommend.

Good Value for a Basic Soup Base
Good soup base concentrate. Just take a couple of tablespoons, mix with some chicken broth and a can of coconut milk. It's already got the lemongrass flavor in it, so it's good for those of us who don't have access to an Asian market. Tom Kha Gai (the gai is chicken) is one of my favorite Thai soups. At least it comes with a plastic container you can use to store whatever you don't use initially.
